Used because previously pleased. However, very poor service this time when replacing vertical blinds on 9 windows. 6 have issues, the main one hanging central wand in bay and 3 other windows. ‘Customer Care’ is non-existent. Refused to come and look, I sent photos. Estimator said he would replace cords with wands but there was no mention of wands being central instead of at side. When he fitted first one and I complained, he said we had “discussed” wands, this is not true as he said nothing about position of wands being different to cords on 3 windows. I now sit in my bay window looking at the central hanging wand. Arrogant emails saying contract fulfilled and case closed. Wish I had read other reviews before using them this time. Will never use Hillary’s again.

Had two Roman blackout blinds fitted because I didn't want the light to come through but in both rooms there is a gap and now that the time has changed the rooms are so bright early in the morning and till the evening so my daughter finds it hard to sleep. I really don't understand how they take the measurements. Definitely better to go with someone else as they will not rectify the mistake.

3 Blinds have been up since 2015. One was replaced under warranty. Now all 3 are starting to lift at an angle with one side higher than the other. Contacted Hillarys for advice. Blinds are over 3 years old and they will not give any advice. Won't use them again.

We purchased blinds for our conservatory and motorised blinds for the roof . When we purchased it we were told that there is a 5 year guarantee on the blinds which was in actual fact a real rip off as we spent over £3200 for inferior rubbish blinds . Today I rang them as one of the roof blinds have come off the bracket on the roof . I was told that I’ve got to pay £75 call out charge even though it is covered under the warranty . Companies like this should be taken to watch dog and ripping customers off . The answer I got was for us to fix it ourselves.

Poor Service. Booked a appointment. Told advisor would arrive between 3-6,called advisor to see if could come after 4 said he would come straight away. Called me a few moments later to say his exact words SCHOOL IS OUT i can not park near your house we will have to rearrange just because he had to walk. Very rude man then they called me to reappoint basically told them where to go . Never use them.

I would give them zero stars if I could. I initially enquired about an awning in Feb 2021 and placed a £3,600 order for an awning with them with an installation date of 26th April. I paid them £1,800 deposit to confirm contract. A few weeks later they rang to say my chosen fabric had been discontinued by them and would I like to choose another. I was very disappointed because the reason I chose Hillarys was because I liked this particular fabric. I chose another fabric, (for me, a poor second choice) and then was told by sales rep that fabric was not discontinued but out of stock. I found it impossible to get a new installation date from them and was just left dangling. I rang Customer Services several times only to be told it was discontinued again, then told it wasn't, then was told it would be in stock before end May. It seem that no one at Hillarys knows what is going on and they lie to customers. They couldn't prioritise my order despite the fact they it was them who were in breach of contract re installation date. They then said installation would be from 10th June. Well how long after 10th June I asked, we would like this awning for this summer. They told me they would have to get other customers orders out first so in effect I would be put at the end of the queue! Why? Given their delay, I should be at the front of the queue. Asked to speak to supervisor. Was refused! So I have asked for my £1,800.00 back. All in all, frustration and a complete waste of my time. My advice is don't waste your time, give Hillarys a miss.

I’ve never experienced such poor customer service a really awful company to deal with , do yourselves a favour and buy from someone else . I written several emails and not had a response phoned at least 8 times and nobody ever gets back to me all to replace shutters that arrived damaged in December and it’s now Friday the 8th of April !!!! I have asked to speak to the account manager gyl Redding to to call me twice and he’s refused to do so a terrible company who are not interested once they have your money ! I don’t recommend and wouldn’t use again

Sadly I'm leaving this review on here and other sites as I have not heard from the either the rude customer service team or the CEO. I ordered my shutters for my bedroom and front room in November to be fitted in Feb/early March. This happened. However, due to an error made by Hillary's they ordered the wrong shutter for part of my bedroom system so they could not be completely fitted in the given time scales promised, which was early March by. I paid for them and order them in November 2020. What has been fitted and paid for is really poor, I have heard nothing on this poor quality/missing shutter. All I got when I emailed Hillary's and the CEO was a "hopefully" sometime in "June" we will be in touch to fit your remaining shutter..... As the fitter throw-away the blinds that were in my bedroom (when they poorly fitted the new shutters) I'm now unable to use my bedroom to get to some sleep in, this blows my mind. I ordered the shutters primary to ensure they would limit light coming into my bedroom and increase privacy, this is why I ordered them to be fitted in the winter. Now I’m informed “sometime” in June is when they will be fitted....Is this June the 1st or the end of June, past the longest daylight day? The CEO can't even be bothered to answer me, why I'm I being discriminated against? To clarify, I can’t currently use my bedroom as there is no protection against the day light coming through as Hillary’s ordered the wrong shutter! Where should I sleep? Also, what has been fitted is to a really poor standard and not what I paid for. Why have the customer service team /CEO not rung me to discuss this even though I left them my mobile number to do so? This is over 2 weeks ago..... I have offered clear next steps and clarity, why has had no response. As a Dr I'm trying my hardest to save life's and working as hard as I can to do so. However with poor sleep due to a day light streaming into my bedroom as a result of Hillarys inability to resolve a simple error, is painful and so sad. I'm a breaking point as a result of them, I'm in tears typing this. Please can someone help me.

Avoid at all costs! Unless you like to lose your time waiting for a curtain with a 2 months delayed delivery. In my opinion, Hillary's is a dreadful company that plays with customers after asking them to pay in full in advance. This company does not advise of delayed deliveries, and the customer ends up waiting all day at the given delivery date. Do not trust them, they are nit a serious company. Spend that little extra and go with John Lewis. I will share my dreadful experience. I have placed my order for a wooden bay window venetian blind set on February 1st 2020 paying the full price as requested, 502£ after it was agreed a delivery and install date as of February 18th. I have then been contacted by Hillary's that my delivery had a 1 month delay, I got confirmed March 18th as my delivery date. Having understood the situation given the pandemic, I agreed with the new date. On May 17th, the day before my new delivery was going to happen, I (the customer) phoned Hillary's to confirm my delivery was going to happen: the CS Representative informed me that the delivery was not going to happen on March 18th (the day after!) and there was not going to be an ETA for my blinds. At this point, frustrated, I've requested to be provided with a date by February 22 and I was called back on Friday 22: my blinds delivery was confirmed between 22-26th March. No further communication received and today is March 28th. This was going to be the first blind of a series to be purchased, Never again I will choose this company and I suggest to walk away from them.

The worst most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with . 4 times I’ve had appointments booked since November and 4 times the representatives never turned up . I even took time off work at a cost to me to be home for the allocated time period . Today’s excuse from the representative is that he had lost his dog . Don’t use this company they are horrendous to deal with .

Hi rec my order today if Roman blinds for my conservatory / fitted. I was told fitter would shed Orr and from distance looked ok but Img what rubbish . They are made out of cheap material look like a coffin liner and not as was sold paid a thousand for rubbish calling cust service tomorrow ?

I was a customer of Hillarys/Web Blinds (the trading name of Hillarys Blinds online sales) and over the years spent quite a bit of money with them. At the beginning of February the mechanism of one of the blinds I had purchased from them broke. I immediately contacted both Web Blinds and Hillarys' Customer Service to request a replacement, for which - despite the blind still being under guarantee - I would have happily paid. My enquiry and request for help was essentially ignored by both, so I wrote to the Chief Executive, John Risman, who to date has sadly also failed to respond. Appalling! I have had problems with much bigger international companies over the years, but when this has happened at least their CEOs has always responded promptly and appropriately. This is part of Hillarys' response to numerous complaints made by customers to BBC Watchdog in 2011: 'Hillarys treats any and every customer service issue extremely seriously as customer satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.' Really?.. Well, I have found my replacement blind elsewhere now: honestly priced, perfect, no fuss, delivered at speed and all done extremely courteously. As for Hillarys/Web Blinds, it has lost my previously loyal custom and got itself another negative review. Slow hand clap for Hillarys!

Horrendous. No customer service skills whatsoever. Ignore complaints. Goods cheap quality not put up properly and blinds don’t fit the window. Someone needs to shut this company down. Not fit for purpose

Please could you tell me if l will be getting my blinds .l order them in November . they were out of stock . they were to be in stock on the 4th of January still no blinds .if you can not get my blinds l would like my money back thank

Wow wow wow! The best customer service we have ever had. Our advisor (Gentle, Chris) was absolutely incredible. Not only did he attend multiple visits to put up our blinds and curtains due to a fault with the delivery, but he even helped to put up our tv for us! He mounted it to the wall and was just incredible - and all at 9pm on a Monday! Can't fault him - worth the money alone just for the service we received. Product wise, the curtains look beautiful and definitely worth getting made to measure - the fit is perfect. All in all, 10/10.

The sales representative was late for the appointment. Then when he did arrive the service felt very rushed. When he came to providing a quote it was £1500 for 2 windows and I chose the basic curtain and voile range that was suppose to be on sale. He could see my disbelief at the price, so he then offered £1000 (£500 off?). He was obviously trying to make a big commission. I refused the offer. The next day he sent a quote for £920, I refused the offer. In the end I did a little research and measured my windows and found made to measure curtains, voiles and double poles for a total cost of £500, all I would need some one to fit for a small cost of £100-£200, so you can see how much you can save (much lower than £920). They are only trying to make as much commission as they can and he was trying to make £1000 of me, but I weren't having it.

We could not be less satisfied with our blinds, and the subsequent level of customer service shown. The end product looks ridiculous and is completely different from the one we agreed with the initial salesman. Hillarys have refused to take any responsibility. Belligerent customer service team. We will never be using Hillarys again.

In June 2020 I was visited by a sales guy / fitter. He measured up and said the curtains that I picked would be ready in three weeks. Three weeks later, the same fitter showed up at my door (in a COVID-19 lockdown) with his dad (bizarre and I guess illegal) to fit the curtains. I left them to do the job while I worked in another room, however, within literally 3 minutes they said all done, and promptly left in a hurry without even asking me if all was ok or showing me the curtains. I went into the room where I found the curtains to be at least 2 inches short and the fitter must have thought this ok? Wow, just wow! I got in touch with customer service and said that they would send the fitter out again to measure a second time which they did. Again about 3 weeks later taking a day off of work he turned up again, went back to his van and returned empty handed and stated...”they have made them the wrong size again” then drove off to the next unsuspecting mug customer. Astounding and massively amateur in every respect of the service provided. Again I called Hillarys’s and was informed that in a further 3 weeks I would see another fitter as the original fitter had been “let go”! He needed sacking tbh, idiot! Three weeks came and went with no call from Hillarys’s, I called customer service only to be informed that they had run out of fabric and were unsure when it would be in stock and would have to wait until they had more of it! Months past and only with yet more calls made to Hillarys’s did I eventually get the curtains...which were creased and not rectified. In competition they offered £100 instead of doing the right thing and writing the whole thing off which would have been reasonable given the farce I had to enjore. My advice to anyone would be, shop local with a company that isn’t run by monkeys that couldn’t give a toss about the end customer. Discussed and surprised that company’s like this still exist!
