“As last year the flavour of the turkey was outstanding!! Never had turkey so delicious and moist. The only reason it wasn’t a 5 was that this year there was quite a bit of grissle in the dark meat (obvs the bit that joins the ball joint). I’ll still be ordering next year but just thought you needed to know. Xx”

“If these chickens are as tasty as the ones we had 2 years ago we will be very, very happy. But they are currently awaiting Christmas Day. One point: I got up very early to take delivery, had a light on and was ready. But after a quick blip on the phone, before I could go a few steps to the front door, my box was thrown onto the doorstep and the guy disappeared. I had a struggle to lift it in - had hoped he would at least put it into my hallway for me, as I am currently a bit disabled. Delivery was actually before agreed time.”

“The chicken is wonderful in all respects. One minor issue is that when we called to collect it at a designated time, no one was there to serve us?”

“The chicken is wonderful, moist, very flavoursome, cooks beautifully. The meat is definitely a five star review but the packaging contain quite a lot of polystyrene and I didn't know how to dispose of it in an eco friendly way.”

“Delivered on the right day. Prepped the turkey the night before I cooked it. Cooked breast side down, moist, lovely taste. I have been ordering from Herd Fed for a few years after a disastrous xmas when the turkey i bought from well known supermarket was off. Decided I didn’t want one wrapped in plastic, much nicer for the turkey to be dry and boxed.”

“Very tasty turkey though it didn’t cook to the time that had been advised. Was hard to judge if it was done so I think we overdid it. Would get a smaller one next time as only three of us eating it and had the 2.5 kg bird and didn’t have room for the turkey sandwiches.”

“Well packaged & delivered to pre-arranged time. Great flavour & quality meat & we would order again. Only down-side were the number of quills remaining in the bird which we had to remove ourselves.”

“we enjoyed the roast, served in Blackcountry fashion with roast pork, sage onion & bacon stuffing. and plenty of gravy. I found it needed a little longer than recommended, but delicious.”

“A lovely Turkey breast and leg joint. Much tasteier cold than hot. This was the first turkey I had bought off the bone, so I am unsure if this affected the flavour”
