“We required a heater to add some top-up warmth to an otherwise directly unheated room in our near Passiv house. We were delighted with the clean looks of the electric radiator which only took me about half an hour to fit in position. when switched on it connected to the App straight away and can be easily controlled from a smart phone or by the touch screen on the top. The time it took from placing the order to deliver was most satisfactory and the packaging it came in was extremely secure.”

“They had some hard-to-find circular fluorescent tubes in stock at an excellent price. Delivery was super quick and, best of all, packaging was secure so there was no chance of the tubes getting damaged in transit!”

“We bought a 2ft thermostatic tubular heater IPP44. For the purpose of gently adding a little more warmth to our spare bedroom. When the gradchildren visit this is where they sleep and sometimes play. The heater was floor mounted agains a wall. My wife and I were shocked when running a test to establish a setting which if touched would not burn, we found the heater would heat up to a very high tempretuare then cool down, this process repeated itself betwenn 9.30am through to 7.15pm. I phoned customer service and left a message just before Christmas in order to advise of our disappointment and to find out how best to return the item. No reply, so we will wait until the New Year. In the web site therre is no mention of the tubular heater increasing in heat then cooling down to a lower tempreature. Although the instructions mentioned a thermal cut-out, which cuts out, then switches on and off until the reason for overheating has been removed. the test we carried out was on the kitchen table so there was no obstruction in any form. We think this was a fair test, anda re appalled at the high tempreature the heater reached before cutting out. Very hot to the touch, and a danger to our Grandchildren.”

As outlined in the product description, guides, and Q&A sections, this type of heater is intended for non-habitable spaces such as garages, sheds, greenhouses, workshops, and storage areas. Tubular heaters operate by cycling between heating and cooling as part of their normal thermostatic function, and they can become hot to the touch during operation. This behaviour is expected, clearly referenced in the manufacturer’s instructions, and is why we also Heater Guard for extra safety and protection! We strongly recommend reviewing product descriptions, user guides, and Q&As before purchasing to ensure suitability for your intended use. “I needed some particular light bulbs which I have bought from Heathfield before but they were out of stock. As I don't really know much about light bulbs, I was a bit stuck so I just left it. Then about a week later I received an email from Heathfield telling me that although they were out of stock of that particular brand, they did have an alternative bulb. This was so helpful as I really needed the bulbs and was then able to place an order which arrived a couple of days later without any problems. Great customer service.”
