My LO loves the classes

My baby really enjoyed the classes, especially as he was able to walk he loved the soft play. I loved taking him to the Open Gym too. My only criticism was that the Open Play times were very limited - looking at the timetable there was a lot of time where there were no classes that could potentially be utilised by Open Gym. Additionally, by the time I returned to work in august 2017 the downstairs had been lost so there were a lot less classes to choose from and the Open Gym was hardly available at a time to suit a baby under 1. So I would probably have cancelled my membership as one of the big attractions was the Open Gym.

My daughter enjoys the classes, which makes me happy! Overall the classes are structured well, and our teacher, Holly, is a superstar. A few small things which I think could make it better - the room doesn't feel that clean, there's dirt between the floor tiles etc. Some of the equipment is also situated a bit close to the walls and I've seen a few children hit their heads falling off things (although I appreciate the space is tight). I've also overheard a few not too pleasant conversations between the manager and team members, although I'm not sure of the context of these.

My daughter has grown so much in her learning. She loves the songs and her confidence has hit the roof! Thank you for everything.

Lovely staff and nice playground. Classes are a bit too repetitive though...

Hi there, thanks so much for your feedback. I wanted to share some information about why we use repetition in classes at a developmental tool. At Gymboree Play & Music we know that infants learning is experience dependent and that the repetition of positive experiences is literally building your little ones brain! We, therefore, aim for all of our classes to have a balance between novel activities which provide challenge and repetitive activities to support learning and harness confidence. We are very confident in our approach to child development and hope that this response is helpful in understanding why our approach is key to providing infants with the tools required for their developmental needs. Please do come and speak with the team if you would like more details about the benefits of repetition, we are very passionate about our philosophy and would love chat about it further. Many thanks, Jenny. (Head Teacher).
Great instructors and lovely atomospher

My 11 months old son has really enjoyed his classes. High quality equipment and lovely space in Chiswick town hall. It is more expensive than some other baby classes but worth it if you make use of the stay and play and I did find the smaller classes and creative content a cut above some other things I've been to

Love the interaction between the teachers and the toddlers. Also love the fact that toddlers are not pushed to participate in the activities but rather encouraged to join. My son is one of the few that would rather run up and down the ramps and climb everything than sit down. And it's great that they have started to give out name badges for parents as you no longer refer to someone as the parent of X :)

Pads on the wall can be beneficial preventing head injuries. Wooden structure is too hard. My child got bruises so many times already by landing on the edges. Other than these issues I am very happy with the staff and contents of the classes.

Karen made us feel very welcome which made it even easier for me to decide that Gymboree was for me and my daughter Mollie. Every week she delivers beautiful classes and makes every baby and parent feel welcome.

I think Gymboree is great. The ladies running it are always so friendly with the adults and engaging with the babies. I also joined another baby sensory group prior to starting Gymboree and must say Gymboree is much better...better equipment/set up and much more organised. I am very happy with the class, my only small point would be that it's pretty much exactly the same each week...2weeks in a row we even done the exact same nursery rhymes. I'm sure that's fine as babies love repetition!

Thank you so much for taking the time to feedback on our classes at Gymboree Cheam. We are pleased that you are always met by friendly staff that are engaging your baby, that’s what makes Gymboree so great! Our lesson plans run for a 2 week period before they are changed and a new topic is introduced, when this happens the equipment is also changed giving new physical challenges for our older levels or different Sensory Stations in our Sensory Baby Play classes. Research done by Gymboree has taught us that little ones learn from repetition which is why some of the songs are sung for a two week period, children are introduced to new ideas in week one and then we consolidate that learning in week two. We look forward to seeing you soon :)
Friday, gymboree day is my grandsons happiest day of the week.He absolutely loves his session.Climbing balancing, stomping and stamping with this happy group of toddlers has really improved his physical skills and confidence. It is lovely to watch him developing and exploring new abilities and to see him learning to follow the group leader,we wouldn't, miss it.

We have loved Gymboree and been coming since level 2 however have recently gone up to level 5 and this seems to be a very chaotic and unmanagble class. The main reason for this is that unfortunately the age range does not seem to be enforced and there are clearly children that are far too old for this class. I think that this has meant that the children of the correct age cannot get as much out of the classes as they should.

It's a really nice idea and the babies love the soft play area and mostly enjoy the classes. However, the quality of the staff is variable - some of them are excellent but one or two are disappointing - not using the babies' names in classes or getting the right balance in terms of how long to spend on each activity. Given how expensive membership is, I would like to see more consistency in the quality of the staff. At times the cleanliness of the soft play area has also fallen short of expectations but for the most part it is fine.

My daughter is relatively new to Gymboree (attended four level 3 classes). I like the themes, the variety of activities and the fact that they are purposeful and are targeted for each age group. The staff are lovely too. However, sometimes too many different activities are squeezed into a 45min class and just as my daughter is getting into the swing of something we're moving onto something else. As a result the sessiobs can feel a little hectic.

My daughter and I really look forward to our sessions at Gymboree which are fun and invigorating. She has really grown physical confidence from the various activities - which was why I started taking her.
