There ought to be 2 different classes- babies who are older than about 6 months are not stimulated enough by the class, but can’t progress to the older class until they are crawling or taking steps. An additional in between class would be beneficial- maybe for babies who are 6-12 months ish? . I do want to say though that Brooklyn is great and is really good with the babies. She also has a lovely singing voice!!

Lovely atmosphere and my granddaughter enjoyed it. Just disappointed that the other children were a bit too young for her to interact with. She was about 14 months at the time and what few children were there were much younger. Would have returned if we could've gone to an older group and also paid as we go as I can't commit to every week so unfortunately have had to find another group.

Classes fun and staff are friendly, price is too expensive and is getting more expensive come September, equipment can be repetitive.

We joined gymboree in January 2022 and left in November 2022. The class for very young babies was super. The girl who ran it was lovely and the babies all loved her. Sadly she left and whilst the girls who took over are lovely- they just weren't the same. The crawlers group was ok. My child did like it which is why we stuck at it but I it wasn’t as good as the babies group. My child walked quite early so I found a lot of the activities in the crawlers sessions didn’t interest him hugely and mostly he just loved to run around and explore on his own. One really lovely thing about the young babies group is the girl who left (katie) often initiated a group discussion by getting us to all introduce ourselves. It was a really good way of breaking the ice and getting people to get to know each other. Being a mum can be isolating and it was really lovely.

I feel I’m in ‘limbo’ with Gymboree. The baby classes were 10/10 absolutely fantastic! Lots of singing, sensory play and structured, detailed sessions that were just fab for both me and my baby. Having previously attended classes with my older child I know how brilliant the older classes are (2+) And I’m looking forward to attending these when my baby is bigger. We are currently in the crawlers group and I don’t feel it’s stimulating for my baby's current needs. Not yet big enough to navigate any of the equipment but loves the shakers and bubbles. I wish there was more sensory, structured play. I’m in two minds at the minute whether to cancel my membership just for a year and wait until my baby is bigger so my little one gets more out of the sessions. I feel £37 per month is an awful lot for what we are currently getting out of these sessions and would rather spend this money on something more sensory. I know we’ll be back when baby is bigger and when my little one is able to enjoy the equipment more. That said, everyone is lovely and friendly. It’s such a nice team that run Solihull Gymboree x

Been ok. Tbh the teacher in training probably needs a bit more support - isn’t great at moving through the activities and it feels a bit like an open play session

The class never starts on time. The class is meant to be 40minutes long however we only get half an hour and the class finishes bang on half past. I feel the girls who take the class don’t really get the children’s attention a lot. They need to talk and sing louder

My daughter loves the songs and parachute games at gymboree and the format with activities and free play is something she really enjoys. However since a change in staff during the summer I am disappointed that the 2 new teachers have not both learnt the childrens' names in the class. 45min classes also regularly last 35mins. (They have been as short as 25mins long.) Unfortunately this had lead me to consider whether to move to other toddler groups could provide better value for money.

The Milngavie Gymboree was excellent for the short time we attended. The key element was the staff member taking the class who was welcoming, invested and excellent with the children. The time flew in as the babies were having so much fun and it all seemed effortless. It’s amazing how much energy she had even though nearing maternity leave. More staff with this level of professionalism and expertise are needed in the Southside Gymboree which we chose to leave as it’s the same thing every week and not inspiring at all.

We attend the runners class. The classes are good but sadly it seems to have lost its way recently. All the staff have changed and it seems to be they’re going through the motions and the classes seem crowded. I hope this changes as it’s a great place.

CLASSES We love our Gymbo classes! But recently they have become much more stagnant and less exciting. We attend in the south side. I think this is due to staffing changes. The new staff are absolutely lovely. But their level of interaction with the classes and the children, and the energy level of the classes, has dropped dramatically. Previously Gymbo would have been 5*s from us. I do hope things will pick up soon as I do not want to remove my child from the classes. PARTY The Halloween party itself would have been excellent but it was so badly oversubscribed. I found we could hardly move around the room far less get a shot on the frames and slides etc. It did impact on our enjoyment of the party - busy is good but it just felt far too busy. We have not signed up for the Christmas party as a result because we expect it would be the same, which is a shame as we would have really liked to come along.

The class hasn’t been the same since Katie and Jasmine left. The new girls are lovely and the my daughter still loves the activities but the girls cannot project their voices loud enough to be heard over the children so half of them don’t know what is happening and when anymore. It’s pretty chaotic and most of the class are just off playing I because they can’t hear what they are supposed to be doing. Will probably stop coming at the end of the year

Hi, I like the Gymboree classes a lot. However, I think it is too expensive and am in fact thinking of cancelling my membership due to the recent price hike. Also, at the Putney location I don't like that there are no classes offered on Saturday. The open gym sessions are also very limited and often at around 12 which is either lunch time or nap time. I'd be a bit happier with the price if I could at least make one open gym session a week - as it stands I go once a week to my normal class and it doesn't seem worth the price. When I first joined 4 years ago there was an unlimited membership that was cheaper than what I'm paying now, and seeing the significant price increase while taking away classes and class options has been very annoying.

It’s been a while since we visited. My son enjoyed it until about 15 months and not a whole lot had changed when I returned a few years later with my baby daughter. Most practitioners were full of energy and enthusiasm, and overall its a nice class for little babies starting out. My feedback would be to work to enhance lessons by developing new ideas and activities, whilst also expanding on resources. It’s very repetitive and expensive!

Went for a taster session today. Lots of babies in the class and felt maybe too many as unable to use the equipment in the time allocated in the class. Also found quite off putting that four mothers thought it would be great to change their babies nappies at the end of the class on the soft play floor when there was a perfectly adequate and free baby change facility. didn’t like to think that my baby had just been rolling over the floor. I noticed during the class that the floor was quite dirty with hairs and dust despite it being Monday morning.

I have join the gymboree in other country before , and i can see the price and the service is a lot difference , cheaper here , but for the environment isn't that good as other one , and also i think the staff here have to Do a lot job more than a teacher , like make coffee and running the cafe upstairs , so sometimes i can see they lost bit passion while they are on the class , don't blame them on that as they have to Do everything . also the main reason for me to leave is there's too many kids in the class , if the appointment is necessary , so why can they control the amount ? how can the teacher pay more attention on each kid? sometimes the class feels like a market , over 12 kids and parents , just let the kid play themselves ? can't accept it . and it isn't a soft play ground , if it is , too expensive .

When we first joined it was great to have access to open gym every day. The classes were good but after a few classes, they felt very repetitive. Once we went up a level they got better but overall we felt there's not enough variety in the classes. The teachers are great though, very engaging with the babies/kids. The last few months of our membership were not great, difficult to book classes (no one picking up the phone or responding to emails), it just felt they were understaffed.

We used to love going to Gymboree St Albans, however we’ve found over the last few months my little boy has lost interest. The new instructors are not as engaging (for children) and informative (for parents). The old instructors always made sure to engage the child, help and teach them. They also used to explain, often individually, how to help, develop and encourage your own child with certain skills. We’ll unfortunately be stopping Gymboree soon.

Thank you for taking the time to offer us feedback at Gymboree Play & Music St Albans - we really appreciate it. We take staff training very seriously and endeavour to make sure each teacher is equipped with the confidence and knowledge to teach a class successfully. We are sorry to hear you feel as though our new staff member has not met that criteria just yet. If you would like to offer us anymore feedback then please do not hesitate to get in touch with us directly. Gymboree Play & Music St Albans team. We'd really appreciate it.
The classes are a 4-5 good at least on Saturdays. There are 2 teachers that need to improve. And the space I believe is too small and should be more spacious so the kids can play without bumping I to each other. Thanks David

Some weeks are better than others. I get really annoyed that whenever I come to Gymboree about 4 days later my baby is always ill. I feel that the toys should be washed in hot water soapy water. They are cheap enough to have plenty to rotate and clean. The environment needs to be much cleaner I feel you should have stricter policies around children’s illness. Also one of your employees holding a class had a cough for 2 weeks. If you have symptoms you are contagious google it. As a result my baby had a cough for 2 weeks
