The usual teachers are good , but the owner is a racist. Whenever she runs a class she always prefers treating white kids better than coloured ones.

Unfortunately had a very bad experience with the owner and would avoid completely. Teachers are very nice though.

Really bad communication, not responding emails. At the end I didn’t sign up and enjoy the class as it is overpriced and luck of communication out me off

Initially quite nice. My little one loved it but they changed their staff more often than underwear and most of the staff didn't seem happy to be there. I think the manager isn't very nice which is a shame. I made several complaints about them to head office.

Disappointed by our visit. A small room with a few mats on the floor, my kids soon got bored

Have never been to this place I contacted a this place and nobody got back to me then they had the cheek to ask me to review the place. Not good first impressions when they can’t be bothered to get back to you.

Hi Sophie, thank you so much for taking the time to give us your feedback. We have contacted the centre directly for you and they can confirm that they did contact you through email but unfortunately this must have gotten sent to your junk folder as you didn't receive it. They are more than happy to offer you and your little one a free trial and will be in contact with you to arrange this. Kind regards, Team Gymbo x
Hampstead branch. Unfortunately as soon as I mentioned my children have Autism staff changed their tune. This is supposed to be a place that is perfect for children with Autism to develop but discrimination from staff is preventing access for children with special needs. Disgusting that this is happening in 2023.

We go to another Gymboree but this location just did not compare at all. There was no enthusiasm from the teachers at all and my daughter did not have as much fun as she normally does.

This place is absolutely appalling and overpriced. Luckily my child didn’t attend for long, but the time that we were there was hell on earth and left us depressed. They two ladies (Claire and Emily) there do nothing to try and help or engage children that might have difficulties fitting in or enjoying themselves. Instead they did the same as all the other white mums there and left us feeling likes aliens. It’s a shame they don’t understand about inclusivity. On our last session there, my child was particularly unhappy and I only felt embarrassed because of the dirty looks the other mums, Claire and Emily were giving. On one occasion my child was hesitant to return a toy ball (which I would’ve done regardless) but Emily just gritted her teeth and rolled her eyes at us. Definitely never saw them treating any of the others this way. Keep your money and find a kind inclusive club.

Hi, Please find below an email I sent to your West Hampstead branch following a trial session back in June after which I was extremely disappointed - unfortunately I was never offered a response so seeing as you have requested feedback I am sending you a copy of my email below. I think the least they could have done was to at least reply. Hi, Thank you for your email. Unfortunately whilst the class was great (as was the instructor), I felt very uncomfortable attending with my 5 year old son. We were advised over the phone that this shouldn’t be an issue and that my friend attending with her son would be able to oversee the two little ones whilst I stayed with my son, however on arrival the lady doing the check in (who also had quite a rude and abrupt manner anyway) was advising me that my 5 year old son had to stay in the “shoe section” by himself whilst I attend the class. I was a bit confused by this but once we got upstairs explained to the instructor who understood that leaving my 5 year old just sitting by himself was not a very pleasant situation- and allowed for me to stay with my son whilst my daughter attended the class under the supervision of my friend. However the lady from downstairs made a point to find me upstairs and quite rudely suggested that I had left my daughter unattended as she had expected. At this point I felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome and was ready to leave with both my children. We stayed as she then decided she would allow it having explained that my daughter was being minded by my close friend attending with her son. Unfortunately, my daughter did then run into a metal basketball hoop at the end of the session. This hoop was at eye level in the soft play area (which in all honestly I’m not sure is a great location for a metal frame in an area for children of ranging heights running around - even “at arms length”) and rather than ask if she was ok, the male member of staff who was present in that area at the time was very quick to announce:“ this is why we ask every child to be at arms length of their carer” which I took as a direct criticism of me leaving my daughter with my friend. Now I take responsibility for me attending with two children and not being able to abide by the rules fully - but in that case I should have been told outright that my attendance wasn’t possible and I would have spared myself this level of interrogation and irritation. I left feeling quite upset and whilst my daughter had a great time I’m not sure I’ll be returning which is a shame - not solely because of the attitude of the two meme eta of staff but because it makes it very restrictive and exclusive of parents who may have another sibling during the school holidays. This is just my feedback. It’s purely to emphasise the difficulties some families have with arranging these appointments with more than one child. A little understanding or empathy rather than pointing the finger and shaming would have gone a long way. Kind regards Nazli Spencer Sent from my iPhone

I was still charged the whole monthly direct payment even though the centre is Closed and doesn’t offer the online service (it’s been 12 days since closing). Very bad practice in the time of pandemic.

I was still charged the whole £66 monthy payment via direct debit, even though the centre is closed and there are no noline classes available 12 days after centre has closed. Very bad practice, especially in a difficult time of pandemic. I do not recommend this children centre.

I booked a session today with my 2 year old daughter and I even received a confirmation email, however when I got to Gymboree it was closed for the day. Why did no one notify me instead of me heading out in the rain. I phoned their number and could not leave a message as the mail box was full. This is terrible service!

Wandsworth staff were very unwelcoming, they did not smile and were very rude when I was enquiring. I think her name was Conni. We won't be returning.

Attended a free trial in the baby room as one of four Mums and babies. One said in her introduction that her baby was out of the house for the first time since a stomach bug which hit their whole family. Two days after this, I spent a full day vomiting myself. Was disappointed that the group leader didn’t query how recent the baby’s and mother’s sickness had been when it was mentioned at the very start of the session.

Please can you email headoffice@gymboreeclasses.co.uk to share with us which branch you attended so that we can look into this matter for you. Many thanks
However, I am once again sending a copy of the party Booking form. My wife had approved the payment and it was done exclusively on the terms that it is refundable. The same was written on the form. We paid advance for my sons Birthday and I paid after confirming that we will get our refund if we give 1 months notice . And I have written proof of it . At the time of booking our travel plans were not finalized and we got the dates which was clashing with the booking date , we informed Gymboree that we would like to cancel our booking as we will not be in town . And this was informed literally 2 months before the booking date and when I asked for my refund they just said no we can't do that . Then on what basis did u take our money and assured it will be refunded . However I am not ready to accept that the advance paid cannot be refunded. It's cheating literally, and I will write this on every social media and if necessary will take legal action . You can't fool your customer like this . The booking date was 3rd of November and it's mid November still no action taken . I am extremely disappointed with the response being received. Having been a faithful customer for almost a year.
