“I liked the look of the company and the products and the interaction was good on the delivery which was quick and arrived when expected. Only small problem is that I order 4 hardwood dowel of one size and 2 more of a slightly larger size - but received 5 of the smaller and only 1 of the larger. I am hoping to be able to manage the repair job with what I got.”

“Great service and quality products. I phoned first to enquire about specific oak skirting which I was looking for and the man I spoke to was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.He was able to give me advice about the products i needed and I am very happy with my purchases. I would recommend this company to anyone because of the service I got from start to finish.I had to email a few times with further questions and they promptly got back to me each time.Good old fashioned customer service!”

“This was my second order with G&S and I was very pleased. I ordered a quantity of sawn oak in various widths and thicknesses. It all arrived very quickly, (about 5 days from placing the order) well protected in cardboard. The wood was clean, straight and flat on arrival and to the sizes I requested. Very satisfied.”

“I was delighted when I found this site, and spent some time browsing. This was exactly what I was looking for. A source of quality timber where I could source small quantities of hardwoods for various projects I have on my To Do List. “Initially I have a problem with my account login but this was promptly resolved by helpful G&S staff. The delivery of 30mm x 2.4m dowel was received the day following the order. Good quality product promptly delivered - a refreshing change from the many organisations using CV19 as an excuse for their shortcomings and failures.”

“Dowel arrived promptly. Was wrapped in cardboard tube that had a hole in it, on removing dowel there was a large chip out of the surface of the dowel clearly having been thumped in transport. Shame but did the job I required it for.”
