“I have both been into the shop and ordered online. The staff are helpful and there is a good range of stock. With regard to mail order the goods are shipped quickly but the carrier lets them down. I couldn't find a way to tell them to leave my purchase in a safe place so ended up staying in to await delivery which then slipped back beyond the original times. Hence 4 stars rather than 5”

“I was looking for a hardwood dowel but never realised I could get it in exactly the wood required - black walnut!! Surprised to find it and very pleased. Easy to order and arrived very promptly. Now need to complete the job!!”

“What can I say, I ordered a metre long oak pole, perfect for my little home project, delivery was a pain as it stated that it would be delivered In the morning but eventually received it at 5:30 teatime, had to wait in all day, but would definitely purchase from G&S Specialist timber, top quality stuff.”
