Ordered two items, only one arrived. After about 12 days I telephoned, to be told that the second item had been dispatched. This was not the case. I received the item a couple of days after the phone call. I think this was one of the very rare mishaps. I have dealt with your company in the past without any problem.

I am usually very happy with Green Gardener but this time, when we had a fungal infection in a pear tree and had to pull it out, we wanted to treat the other fruit trees next to it so I purchased a recommended product (Green Gardener advice is excellent) online. Sadly, it never arrived, which may have been the fault of the Post Office and not of Green Gardener. After two weeks of waiting, I called and hey sent more but by then, with autumn approaching, it was too late to use it. Maybe next year but I hope we won't need it!

I released 50 ladybirds into my garden but have not seen one since!

Thanks for the message and it is totally normal for the ladybirds to disperses once you release them, so they can get on with their job i.e. eating and breeding. Green Gardening and releasing living predators especially is a leap of faith, so rather than seeing more ladybirds, success is the lack of pests, so keep avoiding chemical sprays and as the ladybirds breed, over a period of time the number of beneficial insects in your garden will increase (and you will see more ladybirds) and the number of pests will decrease. I hope this helps Jon @ Green Gardener

Difficult one this! Whilst Green Gardener supplied the requested Ladybird larvae as requested (2 packs) they are very young and very small (minute) I placed them with care as instructed and within a couple of days there were none left! It appears the Ants protecting the aphids predated every one of them almost immediately. My money wasted!! Green Gardener have since advised me on the Ant control, however this would have been nice beforehand which would have saved me time and money (also possibly my plants) Only advice I can give is BEWARE the Ants and consider them before purchasing any controlling Larvae

At the moment it is difficult to say how successful my ladybirds have been as I released them into the garden and after a few days have seen no sign of them ! I will think it's been worthwhile if I see a population in my garden next year.

I got the lacewing lavae for aphid control because it says in the brochure that they are for use in both greenhouses & in the garden. But to be honest i was pretty disappointed - they arent really suitable for use in the garden - the instructions tell you to cut up the cardboard waffle they come living on, & put the pieces onto the plants... but this is almost impossible outside as even on a low wind day the pieces just blow away! I tried to nudge the larvae onto the plants themselves, but again they are so tiny that they simple fall off or are almost impossible to move without squashing them. I'm sure if you have sizeable plants in a greenhouse they'd be brilliant as the instructions to tap them out over the plants & cut pieces of the cardboard/membrane out to let the eggs hatch & the larvae crawl off, would be appropriate but outside on an average day in may they were useless. Most of them ended up on the ground, squashed or just blowing about bits of paper in the wind. So they were a total waste of money & I'm very disappointed, if i'd known i'd have waited to order later in the yr when weather conditions were more conducive, or simply stuck to ladybird lavae which are that much bigger & more appropriate for outdoors

Still waiting for my order so a bit premature to write this review, however, the order was placed a week ago so things could be delivered more promptly and email correspondence regarding delivery dates would be useful.

Thanks for the review and this order was posted to a company address last week, so I have emailed you directly to check the address? Please can you check for my email and then let me know if they have ever arrived. Jon @ Green Gardener

Arrived in time but there were no instructions in the package, small white paper bags were enclosed, what were they for? There was no oxygen available for the insects so I think some have died, I didn't count the live ones. Obviously because they are just the lava I won't know for a while if they will mature into ladybirds, I have put them on my conservatory plants in the hope that they will eat any nasty bugs which seem to have enjoyed eating my plants over winter, if they do I will report with a more positive rating.

Thanks for the message and the ladybirds are being dispatched direct from the breeder while order volumes are low (it is very early int he season for ladybirds) but they should have included our instructions, so apologies if they were missing. You did the right thing releasing them onto your plants and they do arrive very hungry and they do sometimes eat each other (hence the dead ones - we include extra and there is loads of oxygen for them), so fingers crossed they have made light work of your pests? Let me know how they are getting on? Jonathan @ Green Gardener

Very helpful, prompt and efficient service. With regard to the product itself, we have followed the instructions very carefully but are not seeing any movement of the phytoseiulus on the plant or any improvement in the plant's health so are a little concerned that it's working.

Thanks for the feedback and the phytoseiulus are tiny and the only real chance to see them is in the tube they are delivered in and once you release them you are unlikely to spot them as they are even smaller than the red spider mite. Looking at the date of the order, they have been in place for a week now, so depending on how bad the red spider mite are, will affect how quickly the plant starts to recover i.e. if there are lots of red spider mite, then it will take a while for the phyto to eat them all. Is there any signs of improvement yet? If not, please call us on 01493 750061, so we can try and work out why it is not working. Yours sincerely Jonathan @ Green Gardener

Quick delivery! I can't comment on the efficacy of the garlic candle yet as I haven't been able to use yet. Maybe I missed it in the information I read before purchase, but I have just read on the candle that my greenhouse should be 16 degrees plus, before Using the candle. So I will have to wait until late spring before fumigating my greenhouse. I was hoping to get things done this weekend ( January) and get ready for the growing season!

Thanks for the review and we have fully tested the candles at lower temperatures and have never had a problem, which is why we go ahead and supply them to use at this time of year. Please go ahead and use it and I am sure it will perform as required but if there are any problems let me know. Jonathan @ Green Gardener

Despite the convincing description of the nematodes the ants still flourish in my greenhouse after applying the product as described on the package.
