Ordering and delivery was achieved with no problems. Unfortunately bathe quality of the bee hotel left a lot to be desired. The item has obviously been made as cheaply as possible in China and quality control is lacking with both sides having significant splits in the wood.

The ladybird larvae arrived mostly dead, the ones alive were difficult to separate from all the pieces of paper. They did not sit on the leaves either.

Sadly all are larvae died and it looked like there were lot of aphids in the bag in 2 weeks and dead larva. Even though the weather was good those days.

We ordered 50 ladybird larvae. When they arrived, all but 5 were dead.

Ordered from them last year and was very satisfied. This year I was shorted on my ladybird purchase by 50%. I ordered 50 and received less than 25, after accounting for the ones that died in transit. See pictures. I contacted the seller via their online site and got no response. I hate to speak badly of a smaller local business during the hard times, but be very careful.

The plastic box contained lots of shredded paper with tiny black specs and only 2 or 3 tiny larvae crawling about. Not sure what the black specs were but they didn't appear to be moving and were much smaller than the aphids these weren't mentioned in the description. I tipped everything into the little bags and placed them on the leaves on the infested plant in my conservatory as it said to use under glass at that time of year. I checked everyday but never saw any larvae on the plant just multiplying aphids and I've seen no ladybirds even though I thought I'd seen 2 pupae. Disappointed! It would have been much cheaper to buy bug killer

Thanks for the message and we do not sell plants, so I think you have reviewed the wrong company? We are Green Gardener?

My nematodes took 10 days to arrive after being advised that they'd been dispatched, with the delay being caused by the pandemic. I tried contacting green gardener both before and after they arrived asking if they would still be okay to use as the weather had been hot while in transit and they are supposed to be stored in a fridge. I received no reply from their contact page, Facebook messenger, the email contact on the order confirmation or from another email address. I used the nematodes but still have a problem with vine weevil grubs, so looks like I wasted my time and money. It's great that they can still despatch during these difficult times, but very wrong that they are not answering queries about orders too. I'll be finding a new supplier

Received vine weevil nematodes fine but although applying as instructed I still had many vine weevils appearing. They didn’t seem to work.

Purchased the most expensive CATWATCH cat deterrent on the market which has never been very effective . They charged me around £60.00 which is alot of money for a cat deterent . I was tricked into buying it with their " RSPB approved logo they fool and deceive the customer . Avoid this company not honest and genuine ! Avoid at all costs !

Customer service is awful. Brought a product, contaced customer service for advice as the produce purchased didnt work and never heard a thing back. No help what so ever and the item I purchased (wormery) was useless and a waste of £100. Avoid. I will never be using again.

my partner has ordered phytoseiulus from this company on my behalf 5 times in the last year. on 2 occassions the tubes have arrived and been empty. what the hell is going on ? it seems theres a total lack of quality control in this company, someone should be checking what they are sending out, twenty quid for a tube of wheat dust, im so angry about this and will never buy anything from this company again. oh and dont bother with emailing to complain, they dont bother to reply, you have to ring to get some sort of answer or excuse, yes you will get a refund or they send you more but you then get them 2 weeks after you first ordered.

Ordered Lace Larvae-x 500 - only seen around 3-4 of them instead of 500 as promised, rest are buckwheat husks. Support told that they are hiding well, I did check closely and nobody except that couple ones was there - applied as in instructions - nobody came out. After the last e-mail - no response. Also, delivery was after week - where instructions say to open in one day time after sending out... Do NOT buy!

Thanks for the message and the larvae are tiny as they are newly hatched but the good news is they are very hungry and they will soon tuck into your aphids and then mature, pupate, tun into adults and breed. I am sorry you are unhappy with your purchase as I do send lots out each week and receive very few complaints. It is very difficult to spot the larvae and I normally have to tip them out onto a sheet of white paper to check each delivery - it is much easier to see if the pest problem is improving as it is easier to gauge the success by the lack of pests rather than spotting the lacewings as they will be off doing what we want them to do i.e. feeding and breeding. If you are still unhappy please let me know and I will arrange either top replace them (they will be the same size) or a refund. I have not had an email regarding this order otherwise I would have replied directly. Kind regards Jon @ Green Gardener.

I ordered 50 ladybirds and, although they advertise on their website that they do not supply harlequin ladybirds, only native British ones, I found quite a few harlequins in my order! Very disappointed. The harlequin ladybirds are invasive and harmful to the native ones. False advertising as well!

Thanks for the message and I can reassure you that we do only supply Adalia Bipuctata 2 spot ladybirds and not harlequin ladybirds. Harlequin ladybirds vary enormously in appearance, which can make them difficult to tell apart from our native ladybirds. Harlequins are larger than our native ladybirds and can be up to 1cm in length - if a ladybird is less than 5mm then it is NOT a harlequin. The 2 most common colourings for Harlequins are orange with 21 black spots or black with two red spots - not to be confused with the melanic form of the 2-spot ladybird, which we supply, which is black with four or six red spots! I hope this helps to put your mind at rest. Kind regards Jon @ Green Gardener

This is my first order with Green Gardener. I spoke to customer service this morning about microscopic Ladybird Larvae I purchased & that I was dissapointed. The colleague of GG said the Ladybird Larvae were very small but I said they were microscopic & smaller than a pin head and that you would need a powerful microscope to see the Ladybird Larvae. I heard all about how she had brought Ladybird Larvae herself & put the larvae in several paper envelopes around her allotment & now she has ladybirds. She suggested I call back in a week. I've been completely fobbed off!
