VERY EASY TO GET A QUOTE AND THEN TO GET INSURANCE COVER. IT IS ESPECIALLY USEFUL AS THEY OFFER INSURANCE FOR THOSE AGED 80+. VERY FEW COMPANIES OFFER THIS

You can only truly review an insurance company if you make a claim , which hopefully I won’t . The purchasing however was so much easier than other websites . It allows you to exclude conditions you do not want cover for , many other companies refuse to cover you if you have those Conditions or charge you over inflated prices .

- Buy that travel insurance for my Luxembourg resident girlfriend. - She breaks her leg skiing in France, requiring immediate hospitalisation. - We claim cover for hotel and return flight costs lost in the name of trip curtailment. - They say that trip curtailment is only if you return home. - Insuree could not return home immediately BECAUSE SHE WAS IN THE HOSPITAL. She subsequently did as soon as she was discharged. - They refuse to recognise curtailment because she did not return home immediately. These bad people refuse to honour their obligation. Such an approach de facto excludes coverage if you have an incident requiring hospitalisation. It shows you the level of bad faith, and dishonesty vis-a-vis the essence and spirit of the contract. Was the first time buying cover. Will never touch this entity ever again.

Dear ER, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're genuinely sorry to hear about your girlfriend’s injury and the challenges you both faced, especially while travelling abroad. Situations like this are incredibly stressful, and we completely understand how disappointing it must feel to have a claim declined during such a difficult time. We’d like to clarify that, in line with the terms of the policy and standard insurance practice, “Curtailment / Curtail / Curtailed means either: abandoning or cutting short the trip by direct early return to your home area.” Unfortunately, curtailment does not apply if the insured person remains abroad, even in the case of a hospitalisation. That said, we were pleased to confirm coverage for your unused ski pack and the hospital confinement benefit, both of which fall within the policy terms. However, as the trip was not cut short by a direct early return home, curtailment cover was not applicable in this instance. We regret that Globelink does not have claims handling authority, as this lies with the insurer's claims service via HWA. All claim assessments and decisions are made directly by the insurer, in strict accordance with the policy wording. Your case was referred to them and reviewed carefully before the outcome was confirmed, but we suggest you query this decision with HWA and ask for insurers to review your case and make a final decision. You then, if they refuse to change, have the right to follow the complaints procedure in your policy and have your case reviewed by an independent Ombudsman ( please see the complaints procedure in your policy). Due to privacy regulations, we can’t share full claim details in a public forum, but if you would like us to review anything further, please feel free to contact us at globelink@globelink.eu, quoting your policy number. We genuinely value all feedback, even when it’s difficult, as it helps us improve. Great price but we really can't rate the service as we have never had to use them. The price increases every year due to our age but not a lot.

When I phoned to inquire about some of the health questions, I was given the answers in a most courteous manner. The lady answering the phone was very efficient, knowlegeable and pleasant.

The process of obtaining an insurance from the following company's website was quite smooth and fairly easy as well. I managed to fill in all of the details on my phone (it's that simple!!) I am also fully covered on a cruise or in general any trip abroad

I had a medical emergency in Thailand and globelink came to my rescue covering my medical expenses and insuring I got the treatment I needed quickly not only that they were very helpful and easy to deal with
