“Insurance policy seems to be much clearer than most and the representatives were helpful, always answering my emails. Solely on this, they get a good rating. Once my trip is over, perhaps a better time to ask for an opinion.”

“My experience with Globelink International Travel Insurance was pretty good. Their staff were helpful when I called to understand the different plans, and I actually got a well-priced quote that covered what I needed. The only thing that annoyed me was some of the document jargon was confusing, but they walked me through it. Overall, solid. Would use again.”

“Thankfully I have not been in the position to need to make a claim on Travel or Medical insurance. The cover offered is good enough for me to have used Globelink for some years now. However, following my previous complaints to them about the currency for purchasing the insurance in past years, Globelink have now added a warning message at the payment page. This is to advise that your bank charge additional fees for the transaction, as the bank used is a Barclays UK bank but the premiums are quoted and paid in Euros - this results in a foreign currency exchange cost which cannot be avoided. What I am unable to understand is why Globelink offer insurance to EU residents, quote premiums in Euros, are registered in Cyprus, yet do not use an EU bank for payments to made directly into it, in Euros.”

Thank you for your feedback and for renewing with Globelink again, we were alerted by yourself that your Portuguese bank had added transaction a fee when payment was made in Euro’s to our Barclays Euro account but unfortunately these fees imposed are out of our control. We hope you continue to have many more safe and enjoyable trips.

“Very helpful staff and insurance that 'does what it says on the tin'. Only slight drawback was with applying a discount code when renewing online as the instructions in the email were somewhat misleading. However, this was soon rectified with a phone call.”
