Being of senior years and not very good at modern technology, I found it difficult to follow the website. I turned to chat but they did not understand my questions and I realised they were not an actual person. I went to Google to find out a phone number I could call from Spain where I live. I found several but they all came up as not recognised. I then tried an old UK number I had stored on my phone and this time I got through to a lovely lady who was so helpful and had good customer care skills and quickly helped me renew my policy on the phone. I wish I could remember her name. She deserves recognition.

I like Globelink travel insurance after reading that they pay direct to the doctors or hospital if you have an emergency, it makes things doubly distressing if you have a problem and have to pay out and then TRY to claim the money back. Hopefully we won't need to use it but feel happy that there won't be the same dramas as we have had in the past with different insurance companies.

This is a great product for the price however I have not had to use it so I cannot give it 5 stars. Staff I found this time very helpful but previously they told me to read the paperwork and decide for myself. Unfortunately, they would not give me any guidance on the product I was asking about. I have read the paperwork and am still not sure if I have bought the right product because of the variables I have with my illnesses even though I have asked the staff for some clarification.

Having used Globelink before I thought I was familiar with it's quirks. However, this time one of the insured parties would be one year older when the insurance came into force. When the site asked for age it does not make clear if that is the age NOW or the age at which the cover takes place. Mildly irritating as, when the error was indicated, there was no way back to correct it. I had to clear the browser and start all over again. A simple "Age now" would remove all confusion. Otherwise it was straightforward and clear.

Thank you for your feedback, at step one for a quotation you are asked for your travellers ages with the information asking you to confirm the current ages of the potential insured at the time of purchase, and at the top of the wizard you can click to go back to step one if the current ages have not been used but we are pleased to see you did complete the policy purchase and wish you both a safe and enjoyable trip.

I am a loyal Italian customer of Globelink, I have been purchasing coverage for my long stays in Thailand for at least seven years and I also recommend it to my friends and travel companions. I am basically fine, if I have to say a flaw that I find when I have to contact them from the holiday location is related to the telephone number which Globelink declares "Italian speaking" but this is not the case and this is the only sore point, so it could further improve the assistance service for us Italians who are not champions of the English language. Overall for the quality of service and cost ratio my rating is 4/5*

Very good value for money travel insurance,but I had lots of difficulties with the secure payment page to finalise payment,I sincerely hope that I don’t have those issues next time round.

Easy to set up. Only concern was that there is only one option for purchase. We do not need all the cancellation and luggage insurance. Just the health cover. Would have been nice just to have that and probably cheaper to.
