“The only review I can write is for the joining process. As a new member I have not needed the service yet so cannot comment or score this. Easy to join and more cover for cheaper price than competitors is my only opinion at present. Not tested at all (hope I don't, too :-) )”

“I had cause to email your customer service department regarding the level of cover I was about to purchase and Lisa Goodsell was very prompt and helpful in dealing with my query. I found the website extremely easy to navigate and understand and could purchase my cover in about 5 minutes. Refreshingly simple. Hopefully I won't ever need you but if I do and the level of service continues, I will be a very happy customer!”

“Having been let down by another company , I started looking around for an alternative . Gem were highly rated by Which and car magazines so I joined them online . It was the easiest and simplest of any application I have done , with just two options and a fixed price . I hope never to have to call upon Gem for their service , but if it is as good as their online system I will be delighted .”

“Just joined GEM today so this review is just about my 'joining experience'. It was easy to sign up and I had no problem with the website or paying, all went smoothly. I hope I do not need to call on GEM's services, but if I do I hope it will all go just as smoothly!”

“Nice to be welcomed back as I was a member back in 1974 and made use of the reclaim breakdown which worked well. I hope I don't have to use the cover but it is great to know I'm ready just in case.”

“After 14 years with the RAC I've moved to GEM, guided by the Auto Express 2017 review and comparative cost. For our level of use, RAC recovery is through the roof, but GEM's is highly competitive for an identical service. I found GEM's website easy to navigate and signing up was equally straight forward.”
