“I did the 13 pure Costa Rica trip, it was my first solo trip, was definitely nervous and but all elements of the trip by far exceeded my expectations! My group leader was Mariangel, an incredible woman who clearly adores her job and it shows. She simultaneously looked over us all like a mother hen ensuring everything went smoothly, any minor issues were dealt with immediately but also being an amazing friend, having fun with us all. Her good vibes and energy are unmatchable to anyone I’ve ever met! She showed us her beautiful country with such passion, we saw some truly incredible sights, a beautiful mix of wildlife, fun, beaches, many activities ie ziplining, white water rafting, horse riding, surfing, night jungle treks, spotting whales, hiking, swimming etc. The trip was incredibly well organised, we all knew what we were doing/ when we needed to meet and everything was perfectly smooth throughout the whole trip, I’ve had the experience of a lifetime and have made friends for life, as well as fallen head over heels for Costa Rica and the pura Vida lifestyle. The booking process was incredibly smooth, everything was taken care of by the team. Would 1 million percent recommend doing this tour to anyone who’s considering it.”

“I’d like to express my disappointment with the gap360 tour guide Lee from Cambodia from the 4th-10th of March. Lee as we know is a lovely, charismatic and fun guy. However, as a black woman I felt very uncomfortable with some of his comments during the experience. Twice he expressed how Asian people do not want “dark” skin like me and him. Every time he called me name, he pronounced it wrong, and called me “cash” instead of cassi and called another girl “kassi” who was actually called “Kasey”. I also was made uncomfortable with his comments on the preferred “white” skin that Asian people preferred to be and that he wanted to “exchange” skin with other white people on my tour during the Ankor wat tour. He was also heard saying the N word on the 10th of March. I was informed of this on the 11th on the day of the S-31 prison and killing fields tour and was incredibly upset because I respect him and felt for the history of Cambodian people. Once my friend reported this to me I was extremely upset as I rated Lee as a really lovely tour guide. Despite this, I did notice that he treated me differently than other people on the tour. During the S-21 tour, he stated that Cambodia needed “white” people specifically to benefit their country. This made me very upset as I was empathising with what the Cambodians had been through and was crying during this moment. He stated that “white people” are what is good for Cambodia , which made me feel excluded and isolated and discriminated against, especially during such an emotional moment. I am leaving Cambodia feeling very upset hearing Lee’s views on dark skin and his preference for white people and white skin and western people. I came here to learn the history, not to be discriminated against.”

“I have just finished the 13-day Philippines Island experience tour with INTRO.
I had the most amazing time exploring the beautiful Philippines - highlights included the 3-day boat expedition from Coron to El Nido (the crew were fantastic, the accommodation was great and the food was delicious), the Moalboal sardine run and the twin lagoon in Coron.
We all had such an incredible time on this tour and this was largely thanks to our lovely tour leader Elay! She always went above and beyond to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves and made it very clear that we could talk to her about anything whenever we needed which I really appreciated! She was so helpful with booking any onward travel and made sure we knew she was always around to help if and when we needed her. Having a local tour leader was also great because she was so passionate about her own country and that really came across March was a great time to visit!”

“I had a really great time on the 13 day Thai Adventure! I loved the mix between organised activities and free time. I was a bit worried about keeping up with the group given my health conditions, but the activities were optional so if I didn't feel like I could physically take part (e.g. a hike) I could sit them out.
In my free time I got to explore all the artsy areas and visit coffee shops and markets.
