“The shoes looked really well made but I need a wide fit & these were not wide at all. I couldn't get on either the boots or shoes I ordered. Most disappointed, has put me off purchasing anything further from Gabor!! Couldn't knock the customer service though just a pity the footwear doesn't fit me!!.”

“Terrible experience. I received boots that had been returned and were worn. I also purchased the same pair of trainers twice as I loved the style and they both came apart in the same place. I emailed and received to reply re the trainers and included them in a video of the boots that arrived worn and the trainer issue wasn’t addressed. I have now returned the boots and turned down an offer of a 20% discount given they were in such a terrible condition.”

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that you feel that the boots had been worn. We do get returns back where people may have tried them on for fit, but all should be checked upon return to ensure that they are not worn, and again checked if they are being sent out for an order. I apologise that on this occasion it seems we have let you down. With regard to the trainers, I cannot see a previous order from us for these, if you have an order number or receipt if bought from store, please do get in touch again so that we can look into this for you. If you bought them elsewhere, you would need to get in touch with the retailer you bought them from, or you can contact the Gabor agents for the UK on 01642 677222. I do hope that this helps. “I bought off line as I went into your Northallerton store and after waiting a long time and asking several staff members to help ( several were in the stock room) I walked out and ordered on line The sandals are very nice but sadly the back strap needs shortening which Timpson says is £17 :-((”

If the shoes are not suitable, you can take to your closest Charles Clinkard branch or post to our Head Office. I am sorry you were not able to order in store due to it being busy but glad you were able to navigate our website easily to place an order. “The delivery was quick. Sadly the quality of the shoe was terrible. Fit was fine so I decided to go for a walk. I had peeled skin after just 30 minutes of walk. The shoes left black colour marks on my knee highs which was very annoying. The customer service was very quick to respond and they sent me a prepaid return label. I have sent the shoes back and am waiting for their reply. It's sad because I really liked the shoe. I have been wearing Gabor shoes for many years but it was very disappointing this time.”

“Love the 'Helen Womens Sports Trainers.' Tried to get them in size 3 in Nightblue Nubuck as I had a pair previously and they were by far the best trainers that I have ever had. Sadly sold out in Nightblue Nubuck, so settled for Nautic Suede/Mesh, which are more a bluey grey. They will still be well used but hoping the Nightblue Nubuck comes back in stock next year. Delivery was excellent, so wouldn't hesitate to buy these trainers online again.”

“I love Gabor shoes but this is the first time I have ordered online. I was confident of the fit because of past experience. I expect the boots will be fine in the end, but am slightly disconcerted because one feels firmer and tighter than the other ie they don't feel like an exact pair. I very much hope this will resolve.”

“My boots arrived with a fault inside. I called up Customer Service who were very helpful. I explained that I wanted to exchange them for another pair but I needed them really quickly. In less that a week I had returned the faulty pair and received the new pair. Excellent customer service, thank you. Oh, and the boots are really comfy and I love them!”

“Love Gabor shoes. The only ones I can take out of the box and comfortably and reliably walk a distance. Handy that you can replace the insole with your orthotic too although the insoles supplied are very naturally supportive so J sometimes manage without them anyway.”
