“They responded very promptly and drained the adblue out of my diesel tank. It was an expensive £1k lesson learned! But they do charge you £40 for fuel, we received approx. £20/£25 def. Not £40 worth.”

Just a couple of points regarding the fuel charge: in September, £40 might have been expected to buy around 26–29 litres of fuel, and the first few litres may not show on the fuel gauge at all.
