“I ordered a selection of milk and dark chocolate. The milk chocolates were gifts to others so I didn't taste them but I have thoroughly enjoyed the dark chocolates. The large chocolate drops are absolutely delicious. The flavour is intense so a couple of them can suffice if you are just want a wee treat.”

“Extra thick Easter Egg- A chocolate treat in a beautiful box - what a fabulous gift to give. The chocolate of the egg is smooth and delicious. Thick, of course! The individual chocolates were beautiful. All wonderfully presented in an attractively designed lidded box (too good the throw away BUT Friars, make your labels peelable). A gift to enjoy giving as much as receiving.”

“I buy Friar's chocolates for my daughter, at every opportunity. She's vegan of course and has been for some 30 years now. She says the chocolates are by far the best she's ever eaten, and won't buy other brands at the moment. She says Friar's have set the standard others fail to achieve. I can only reiterate what she says. So it's a big thank you to Friar's for solving my Birthday, Xmas and special occasion gift problems. Thank you all at Friar's.”

“Beautifully and carefully made, silky smooth chocolate that just dissolves on the tongue. Dreamy. Also beautiful, tasty and interesting flavours in the fillings. Rich and luxurious. This is the best chocolate I have tasted.”

“All the chocolates I selected were delicious. I enjoyed the walnut marzipan, but the dark chocolate, cherry marzipan were my favourite. I shall be ordering from Friars again, for myself, and for friends and family. and look forward to exploring some of your other tempting flavours. They are well worth their price.”

“I didn't want to leave a message because it was negative but after too many emails asklng me. I bought the small Easter eggs, the praline ones with the dusting on top which I am sorry to say were disgusting, I binned them, they tasted horrible, really weird perfume taste and the dusting didn't melt with the chocolate. I also bought the white cookie ones, these were just ok, nothing especially nice about the chocolate, not like white chocolate usually is. Again remained quite hard in the mouth. Wouldn't buy again. For the expensive price I was surprised they came in just clear plastic mould and cellophane wrapper for giving as a present which is what I had intended to do, but couldn't. A very expensive Easter when I then had to go to the shops to buy more, which tasted 100% better than these.”

“I chose to get my Easter Eggs from Friars because supporting independents is important to me. I don't eat chocolate (one of those strange people who can't tolerate it!) but my husband said it's the best he's eaten (and he's eaten a lot!). My daughter is lactose intolerant so her verdict was important. She was impressed! It was nice to be able to buy good quality eggs for both of my choc fiends in the same place.”

“I thought I would have a change this year from 'big company' Easter gifts, so I settled on this lovely family business. My family are delighted with their gifts, beautifully presented, lovely thick chocolate and a variety to suit everyone in my family. I will be back again. Thank you”
