It was all very confusing and I was given different information regarding what paperwork was required by different people. Freightlink have always been excellent so I was disappointed this time.

I used to use Freightlink before for ferry bookings but since Brexit not been able to get my head round the new regulations for exports I have tried you partner customs link but still cannot get it sorted

Hi Kelly, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you have not had a good experience with us on this occassion. We have now passed your comment on to customer service who have been in touch with you to explain why you have not yet received your booking confirmation. Unfortunately, the sailing you booked was for later in the year, and the booking confirmation for this may only be requested 15 days before the departure. Due to a fault on our end, you were not informed of this in a timely manner. We apologise for the inconvenience that this has caused. Normally ok, but booking to Ireland is still standy, less than 24hrs before I'm due to travel, even though the return one is confirmed. Payment has been taken from my bank already though. Because I'm taking freight, all the stupid Brexit paperwork has been filled in on the basis of me getting on that crossing. Very poor

Unfortunately, while your return journey was confirmed quickly, your outbound journey went on a waiting list before being confirmed by the operator a day later. It would have been better if you sent me 1 link for payment which included all 4 journeys I was booking instead of 4 links.

I found the website a little confusing, as the basket was hard to open after entering al my details Then i eventually found it and went on to pay, so my opinion is that it was very easy to choose your sailings as they were clearly listed. But completing it all was a little confusing. Also the comfirmation email didn't show a clear invoice i had to copy and paste the end of the mail! I was wishing for the phone line to be back hence my rating.... I'm hoping i'll get used to it

Email confirmation wasn't forthcoming I had to chase the booking. I was told the tunnel system had to confirm ? Should have said that at the time of booking and not leave me hanging and having to chase

Why can you the booking only with a creditcard? Why not also with ideale.

I booked and paid for a ferry to Jersey and then had no confirmation. I eventually phoned freightlink as it was Friday PM and we were sailing on Monday AM. The booking had not been confirmed and they could no longer fit us on the original ferry.

Sorry to hear you had issues with your ferry booking. Unfortunately, the operator's booking office was closed when you made the booking, so we could not get confirmation from them. We eventually managed to get through to the operator on Friday afternoon and due to limited space, your sailing is confirmed for 19.30 today. Sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Booking the ferry was easy. Arranging the paperwork is something else altogether as Freightlink assumes that everyone knows everything about the necessary paperwork (as well as what all of the abbreviations mean), this is fine if you're an international courier but not if you have never transported good before.

As you are not travelling until the 25th April, we are still waiting for confirmation from the ferry operator. Your booking is currently on standby. We will send confirmation when we receive it.

Booked return journey to Belfast. When booking made, and money taken, I was not made aware that my outbound journey is on "Standby". Once Ferry was booked I then went on to book hotel for overnight stay. Everything is organised the other end too, so hoping this will not be an issue. If I had been made aware of "Standby" at booking stage, I would not have booked with Freightline.

As the journey is for March, the ferry operator cannot yet confirm the booking. Unfortunately, this is out of our control. We rely on the ferry operator providing us with confirmation. We will be chasing booking confirmation for you.

Unfortunately, the booking office for this operator was closed when the booking was made. They also do not process bookings for this far in advance over the weekend. The customer was advised of this on Saturday and offered a full refund but did not want it. The booking request will be made this morning and we will send you the confirmation asap.

Booking was easy, but I presumed that you would do all the customs for me as well. ? This is very stressful and I don't have the time to find individual agents in Europe. Chris is great, but I just presumed you would do everything.? Many thanks Elliot Batt
