Pretty disappointed with Freightlink, took payment and then couldn’t get me on a crossing for the outbound - this was around 2 weeks away. When asking for an alternative, it seemed too much effort to contact the port and had a smug tone when that came back as full. Also couldn’t confirm the return Journey as it wasn’t close enough to the time (only 3 days after the outbound) I can’t imagine what time window you have to book to get the crossings you actually want confirmed? Overall not the best customer service experience this time. Have used Freightlink before and they were helpful, but the members of staff I spoke to this time spoke with a tone they made me feel like I was wasting their time. No apologies, no effort and not staff I would be happy hiring.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you did not have a positive experience with us on this occasion. This is one of the busiest times of the year for the freight industry. Because of this, it can be a challenge to find enough space on board the ferry. Unfortunately, the operator was unable to accommodate your booking as they had no availability left. A member of our customer service team explained this to you and then contacted the operator directly to see if there was any way to secure a space. We also offered you several alternative routes, but unfortunately these were not suitable for your needs. We will take your comments onboard and will use this to improve our service in future. We had to change our GVMC as the vehicle that was to be used broke down. Customer service was brilliant and went above and beyond what most services would have and he got us sorted for the delivery the next day (Sunday Crossing). Many thanks

Absolute joke booked ferry on Friday,money taken immediately then 15 mins later get email telling me ferry is full and any alternative full and I am on a standby list . I then tell the person I want to cancel and get told I have to wait 3 days for a refund of £300 . We work on a tight budget and waiting for refund which takes no more than 5 mins

Unfortunately we were only notified by the ferry operator about the unavailability after the booking was placed and it was a very busy weekend so no alternative sailings were available. As your booking was placed on a Saturday our accounts department wasn't available, therefore the refund will be processed today (Monday). Sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Booking of 1 week in advance got not confirmed Dunkirk -> Rosslare and by phone nobody available. These goods very very important for people of IE. Hope something can be done but even the Call back request has been ignored so far

My booking and subsequent sailing suggests a serious lack of customer care and interest. Between the time of booking to my arrival at the departure port, Freightlink had actually failed to complete the booking with the ferry operator. I had to supply Freighlink with a telephone number, and insist on speaking with a member of management before this was all rectified. to make matters worse, the price I paid was nearly 30% more expensive than going direct. As with all companies of this nature, they are very quick to grab your money (instant), and very slow to return it if you cancel (7-10 days). NOT RECOMENDED,

We're sorry to hear about the problems you faced when making a booking with us. Unfortunately, as you made the booking out of office hours (00.16 BST) for a departure the following morning at 10.00, our customer service team was unavailable. When our office reopened, we attempted to call the ferry operator booking office on your behalf but there was no answer. After several attempts we eventually got through. Sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.

I got an email this morning saying that my unaccompanied tractor had been shipped. This evening after a difficult day my wife and children (we have no-one we can leave them with because of coronovirus) travelled to belfast (90min drive) to collect it. When we got there i was told "oh it wasn't shipped because it had to sit 72hrs till coronovirus had decayed on it". Why could someone not had told me this today before i was due to collect it. At a time of avoiding unnecessary journeys this is more than rubbish customer service.

Unfortunately we were not notified by the ferry operator of the 72 hour quarantine period until 21.00 last night but the operator had already informed our system that it had been shipped. I picked up a hire contract in Jersey and Guernsey, involving moving equipment between the mainland and both islands. Having never done anything like this before, I was apprehensive. The customer services team at Freightlink were unbelievably good, they helped me along the way with all the customs paperwork and even re-arranged my entire journey when it was disrupted by poor weather. Keep it up!

Was very disappointed after I booked P and O to later receive a phonecall to say it was fully booked and my booking had to be cancelled. Another ferry was made as an alternative but this was more expensive .

Unfortunately we were informed by P&O Ferries that the sailing booked was full after the booking was placed. We therefore offered an alternative sailing with another operator. This however was more expensive. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
