“I haven’t done anything with them yet as they arrived too early. February is to cold to plant them so they are still in the box. However they do look rather healthy. We will see when warmer weather arrives.”

“Beautiful dahlia tubers. Large, and plenty of nodules. Much larger than normal from other mail order firms. Obviously can’t say what they’re like for flowering as this is February, but things look good!. Excellent packaging and sent out in with good information of planting. First class .”

“I have regularly used Farmer Gracy over the last 4 : 5 years. In all that time I have never had any issues with plants / bulbs that I have purchased. The items arrive in very well packed cardboard boxes which are ventilated to ensure the plants are transported well. Any plants / bulbs purchased are individually packed, by type or order into separate paper bags with the information labelled onto each bag. Inside the cardboard boxes there is also additional information on plant instructions including planting depth etc. All in all Farmer Gracy is my go to plant / bulb company - try them you won’t be disappointed!!”

“I just received my bare root Dahlias yesterday unfortunately I was very disappointed.This has happened before so I rang FG the lady ask me to send photos off the two plants which I did.She replied by email saying one plant was awful & the other was maybe ok I will have to wait & see surely this should not happen after all I am a good customer.I can’t understand why the plants where sent out.Thank You”

Hello, Dahlia tubers can be quite fragile and during harvest they can suffer light damage. Bent tubers which appear cracked where they join the neck are common and this won't usually have an impact on the performance of the plant. We do our utost to pack the tubers safely to avoid any damage while in transit however, on occasion, this cannot be prevented.
