“Customer experience: The ordering process was quite easy. The watch arrived via FedEx overnight as promised, in excellent condition. I sent a message via the website, enquiring as to service intervals. I received a response a few days later from Paul Sweetenham, one of the founders (!), advising me that 4 to 5 years is recommended, if the watch is used daily: less so, if the watch is used less frequently. The second strap I ordered is shipped more conventionally via Royal Mail/US Postal Service.”

In the future, I would like designers to return to the more discrete 35mm ish watch face -”

“I own three Farer watches, two of which are automatics. The design and quality is outstanding; value for money is spot on. I had teething issues with one of the autos and Farer could not have been more helpful or courteous in correcting the fault (covering all postage costs and gifting me a free strap for my troubles). My contact during the process was one of the firm's four founders, which is not something that you get every day! He has also been very quick and helpful to answer other queries that I have had. A fine brand.”

“OK, so I’ve bought a Farer, so I’m potentially biased. However, I’ve owned a large variety of top quality Swiss watches over the years and this is absolutely up there in terms of quality. I’m loving my GMT Auto Ponting, the look of the dial and the use of colour is amazing IMHO. I really like the fusion of British design and Swiss manufacturing know how, I think Farer have created something unique in the Ponting. Look at one and wear it for a while and I think you may agree!”

“I am very pleased with my Carter II Farer. Very glad that I decided to purchase the watch; I wanted to choose a watch that was different to a lot of the more mainstream models I had been researching, so I was delighted to come across Farer. Customer service was exceptional: I had minor issues in processing payment online but the response and advice I received was instant. Delivery was provided the following afternoon and presentation of the watch itself was beautiful. Lovely personal touch from the guys at Farer. Great watch, great service and overall great experience. I will be saving up for my next Farer asap! Thank you.”

“After discovering Farer initially through Esquire magazine, I became increasing interested in owning one! The unique british design, retro feel and highest quality build made the purchasing decision a lot easier... The Aqua Compressor 'Endeavour' is the watch I finally settled on, and I am thrilled with it! The value for money far exceeds anything close to it on price point. The watch arrived in rapid time, beautifully packaged with a hand written note. It is a pleasure to own and wear.”

“Received my Lander GMT today and wow, better than in the pictures. What's not to like? Next day delivery, fantastic box (honestly, really impressive!) and extras, beautiful watch, sensational but subtle colours, great strap with a wonderful smell of leather out of the box and I really, really can't stop looking at it. I shall be rolling up my sleeves far more now and/or pointing lots!”

“I was looking for a GMTwatch; wanted something that was unique and stylish. I came across Farer and went with the Lander..a beautiful blue dial. It’s even more beautiful in person than on the pics. I was close on the black face version but I already own a few black face watches and didn’t have anything in blue. Very high quality for the price. Direct sale from Farer went very smoothly and dealing with company was a pleasure. Quick delivery to US. Highly recommend this watch.”

“Always a risk buying off the internet (without a “hands-on” viewing) but just looking at the Farer box impressed. The watch was beautifully presented inside. The watch is weighted well and both the metal and rubber strap are to a high standard (the buckle on the rubber particularly so). The extra touches of the signed card and strap tool just add to the personal feel. It’s nice to see that Farer can produce a well engineered item that has a fantastic ‘Britishness’ quality.”

“The biggest disappointment about most 'non-classic' watch brands is that while they are aesthetically pleasing, they often fall below the mark. Maybe the design feels somewhat cheap, or the smaller details haven't been paid attention to, etc. With Farer, it couldn't be more different. The company has succeeded in creating a watch that introduces a new contemporary silhouette but is clearly built with years of knowledge and craftsmanship. It's a discerning piece of design, horology, and style that blasts a hole in the market and owns it. This might not be your classic collector's item, but in terms of taste and refinement, it hits all the marks.”
