I ordered the Discovery Black Velvet and the delivery was prompt and without any issues. However, despite the watch being advertised as having a black dial, as even included in its name, the dial is more charcoal than black which is very noticeable when put next to watches with an actual black dial. I also found the noise of the rotor rather loud. Overall, a bit disappointing.

Hello Christiane, Thank you for your feedback on the Discovery Black Velvet. The dial colour is most certainly black, but it is a matt black fine texture, that does not reflect light, so in the direct sun it will potentially look dark charcoal. Overall I was a little disappointed with the watch. The bezel is difficult to turn. The finishing was lower quality than I expected and the dial, hands and indices look plasticky. I like the design overall, which is why I bought it. The movement is finished very well in the exhibition caseback and I like the manual wind. I wish the second hand had Lum on it. The watch strap is not made from a great leather and it doesn’t have a great touch to it (sometimes with hand bags like Hermes the leather is finished with beeswax. Overall I regret the purchase but I had the case inscribed so I would feel bad returning it. I like Farer, but will not make a purchase from them again. I would rather buy a Longines. I will probably rarely wear this watch.

Hello Donovan, Thank you for your review of your Farer purchase. This is certainly not typical of the feed back we have had on this model. The hands are overpainted in white on metal hands, this is an aesthetic choice to contrast against the Mint grain texture dial. Our straps are made by SIS, in France who supply leather goods to most of the premium accessory brands in France, so again not a response we had anticipated. Sincerely Farer Watch Co

I was instantly attracted to the Carnegie Titanium colors and design. However, the user experience is marred by appalling accuracy (2 min/day), unpleasant winding, and a strap that is shorter than standard. I have ordered an XL strap, but I am not sure that will save this pretty face from oblivion.

Hi Martin, Thank you for your review, sorry to read that its not a positive experience. However we dispatch the Chronograph Sport models at plus 4-8 seconds per 24 hours, each watch is double checked just prior to dispatch. Therefore we would almost certainly say your Carnegie is magnetised and will need demagnetising as soon as you can to reverse the very advanced gain in timekeeping . After demagnetisation the Carnegie will return to its expected timekeeping accuracy range. Kind regards Farer Watch Co

Hi - I love my watch but have now had to order 6 new straps, having bought the watch in 2018. I wear it for about 3-6 months / year and always take the strap off for going to the gym etc. The straps have now cost more than the watch!

I have owned a Farer for a few years and have to say over all I am disappointed. It’s, a pretty enough watch but winding it up is incredibly difficult. I will start by saying I am a guitarist and have nimble dexterous fingers but I cannot wind up my watch because the crown is so stiff. To the point where winding it up has caused a sever blister on my finger and I have to stop well before the watch is fully wound. If I could ho back I would wither buy a nice Swiss watch Tag….etc or a battery powered watch!

I purchased Ainsdale with the orange rubber strap. It looks and feels incredible. However, after 2 weeks, seconds hand stopped working... Asked Farer to assist! And was told I had to pay for shipping back to the UK for inspection of the watch.

Hi Russell, Thank you for your feedback. We received your email on 4th June, stating you had dropped your Ainsdale on a hard floor, we replied that we would be happy to remedy, but as this was an owner accident we would charge for the Fed Ex label, if it had been a warranty fault then naturally all costs would be absorbed by ourselves. That said, beyond the shipping cost, we are happy to remedy your Ainsdale with our compliments. Regards FARER

I bought 2 Farer watches in a week. The first watch I bought was the Farer Bradfield. The second was the Farer Maze. Both watches are absolutely beautiful but the Bradfield lost the end piece of the crown and the clasp continues to loosen. Very disappointed in the quality of what I bought. So far the Maze had been good.

I had a problem with the watch invoice. During the buying process I set two addresses (1 for mailing and another for billing). The address in the invoice I received with the parcel was mistaken. I need the billing address to be in the invoice in order to get the EU VAT Exemption certificate. I have explained this problem to FARER in 3 different emails but never got an answer. finally I had to quit..

Runs behind 2 minutes a week. Wrote to CEO about it - no reply :( Leather belt not good quality - should change after 2 months of use :( Would be forgiving if my complaint were answered - instead I am disappointed as customer is obviously not important.
