“Floor was damaged when fitters unwrapped it. This wasn’t apparent from the outside packaging. Very embarrassing for me. Fitters are trying to cut the damage out and repair it. The cost I paid for delivery too, you’d expect it to be bubble wrapped! Especially Lino! Once the sheet is damaged the whole thing is ruined.”

“Ordered flooring for our new shop six weeks ago, was told estimated 2-3 weeks, then another 2-3 weeks when we telephoned, no volunaupdate in between, paid over 2k, now to be told it's coming from China and no informed date of delivery. Meanwhile our opening is delayed and workmen with nothing to do. Not impressed - would week order form them again? No.”

“Flooring ok unfortunately it doesn't look quite the same as advertised could be down to lighting otherwise satisfied.Shame though no help carrying very heavy product being elderly can't recommend.”

“After buying the flooring from ‘Factory Direct Flooring’ and receiving a few samples which all looked great especially with the excellent customer service. On arrival the flooring didn’t actually click into place at all and moved after completing one room. I then spoke with floor fitters who told me that the item was useless. On contacting Factory Flooring Direct I was then met with abuse beyond words. By purchasing through PayPal I assumed that I was protected? wrong. You see, unless you can actually prove that the flooring is inadequate or wish for a refund you have to return the flooring yourself which will cost you in excess the cost of your flooring and it has to be delivered by a known courier, another thing that I wasn’t told. In my case I decided to get a friend to drive me ‘directly to’ Factory flooring direct’ to give them back the remaining boxes of flooring which was over 100 miles from my home. There was no returns department? I saw a lady in the hallway quite shocked that I was there to return the flooring. Their own laminate used in their building isn’t their own product either, a very plush hallway and carpeted stairway. Even with supplying PayPal with proof of delivery including photos and petrol costs. I did get a refund for the flooring for taking the remainder back. Leaving me about £300 out of pocket. Also, you certainly won’t be met with a smiling face or offered a cup of coffee, however far you have driven. It’s a cold and unwelcoming atmosphere. Where guys are then called to get the flooring from you. If you can afford it you can then stop on your way home to maybe buy a burger ( not something I usually eat) I advise honestly to really think this through before purchase. I’m now laying alternate flooring of a good quality ( quickstep ) yet have had to save again and spent Christmas and up until now trying to save money to complete my lounge. If you wish to waste your money and then have an enormous amount of stress while being insulted, then buy from this company. If you want good flooring that will actually not slide all over the place and come out of place immediately after fitting together. I’d suggest looking elsewhere. I can certainly see where the money goes on arrival at this place and it’s certainly not on its customers. All of the flooring I purchased I gave away and threw away and had to tell people who were collecting it that it doesn’t stay clicked together. It moves. ‘Factory Direct Flooring ‘ will insist that it is great yet will refuse to show you themselves how they lay their own flooring on an actual floor, instead a table top that is totally flat ? I clearly know why as aforementioned. My worst purchasing experience ever.”

“Delivery did not arrive as scheduled, no idea when it will - a days holiday wasted. In the past Factory direct flooring have been great however this time there was no communication to indicate an issue. Will question using them again and am unsure if the item I paid for will arrive.”

“I ordered 60m2 of black vinyl for my kitchen. I received an update telling me it was cut and ready for shipping and then it never arrived. A few days after the delivery date I phoned and was told the order was cancelled because they don’t deliver to Northern Ireland. If I hadn’t phoned I would never have been told. Disappointing.”

“Purchase went through quite easy and was supplied with a invoice and delivery date. However because I was working at the time of delivery I paid someone to sit and wait for the delivery and on arrival telephone the floor fitters but on returning from work the paid sitter was still in the house and no delivery.”

“Absolutely shocking company, the aftercare we’re appalling. When we finally got our product exchanged after nearly 2 weeks of waiting for it I’m happy with the product. Wouldn’t recommend factory direct.”

“The quality of the product on first sight is good but as you start to lay it, it becomes clear the design is not very good. While laying it leaves some small gaps that get exaggerated the further you move along. After being laid it pops out when furniture is placed too close to a corner. I would not recommend this product unless you are a very experienced floor fitter with a perfectly floor and a square room. The slightest ridge in the floor and this becomes impossible to lay straight. I spent £1200 ish on the flooring and after only a few days I am ready to rip the lot up and throw it in the bin.”
