Explorer Travel Insurance has been trading since 2011 and specialises in great value Single Trip, Annual Multi Trip, Winter Sports, Cruise and Backpacker travel insurance.

Buy direct and choose from up to 5 levels of cover with the added peace of mind that all policies are underwritten by Allianz (the world's largest insurer) and include gadget and cruise cover as standard.

We are based in Westcliff on Sea, Essex and are very proud of the excellent levels of service we provide to our customers both online and by our friendly and professional sales advisors. We don't have a maximum age limit for single trip policies and can offer cover for customers with, or without, pre-existing medical conditions.

“Renewal of existing policy, was fairly straightforward as no change to it. Only negative is I didn't get confirmation email this time but have done in previous years.”

“With a fair collection of medical problems I always find it easier to list these on line rather than one the phone. You've to get this right and a couple of queries were quickly resolved with a phone call. I have insured with Explorer before and, unfortunately had to make a claim. This took more time to resolve than I expected [ hence the 4 start rather than 5 star rating ] but they paid in full without a quibble”

“Completed application online which was very straightforward, Medical conditions accepted at a very competitive price, all details downloaded which is good as you can access all the information if needed home & abroad, I did speak direct to customer service to clarify a situation and they were very helpful. I have recommended Explorer Travel Insurance to friends who are also happy, not made a claim and hope I never do but for sure I will continue to renew with Explorer.”

“As I haven’t traveled yet I can only comment on the ease at which I purchased the insurance and although I am over 70 and going away for two months, this also presented no problems. I would not hesitate to use or recommend Explorer again. I also asked for paperwork to take with me and again completely strait forward.”
