Explorer Travel Insurance has been trading since 2011 and specialises in great value Single Trip, Annual Multi Trip, Winter Sports, Cruise and Backpacker travel insurance.

Buy direct and choose from up to 5 levels of cover with the added peace of mind that all policies are underwritten by Allianz (the world's largest insurer) and include gadget and cruise cover as standard.

We are based in Westcliff on Sea, Essex and are very proud of the excellent levels of service we provide to our customers both online and by our friendly and professional sales advisors. We don't have a maximum age limit for single trip policies and can offer cover for customers with, or without, pre-existing medical conditions.

“Easy web site to follow and use ,needed to get in touch with them when i returned from my holiday and the member of staff i spoke to was very helpfull , fingers crossed that if i ever have need of thier assistance due to illness or accident i will get the same helpfull response ,”

“Thought this was excellent value for money until I tried to claim. Got medical expenses and new ticket to fly home but not heard one word about expenses that I had to pay out for the extra 12 days I had to remain in Aus. Dogs food transport etc. I would have rated this totally different if I had received this when phoning up re this several people informed me they would get right onto it still waiting ann morris”

“I can only rate Explorer Travel as I find with purchasing your travel Insurance. I have used your company a few times over the last couple of years and I do find your rates very competitive which is one of the reasons I come back to you. This is really the only thing I can comment on because fortunately we have never had to use the main reason for taking out travel insurance and that is to recoup any expenses incurred by accidents or illness. I am confident that there would be no bother if everything was genuine and covered, although one lives in hope that we will never find out.”

“I have no real problems with Explorer but I had to cancel a trip to Koh Samuel, Thailand in January due to my partner having a medical problem and was advised not to travel. After completing forms and providing copy letters from his consultant at Doncaster Royal Infirmary I feel I am no nearer to receiving any kind of settlement. Don’t think that your Claims Dept are letting your company down!”
