Explorer Travel Insurance has been trading since 2011 and specialises in great value Single Trip, Annual Multi Trip, Medical Conditions, Winter Sports, Cruise and Backpacker travel insurance.

Buy direct and choose from up to 5 levels of cover with the added peace of mind that all policies are underwritten by Allianz (the world's largest insurer) and include gadget and cruise cover as standard.

We are based in Westcliff on Sea, Essex and are very proud of the excellent levels of service we provide to our customers both online and by our friendly and professional sales advisors. We don't have a maximum age limit for single trip policies and can offer cover for customers with, or without, pre-existing medical conditions.

“Easy web site to use...able to find all ailments to register quickly...not all have "an extra charge". I have used them before... fortunately have not needed to claim so can't comment on the response time or ease of claim.Having said that they are very competitive on price hence I continue to use them and would recommend.”

“We put in a claim to Explorer due to a missed port on our Sept cruise. The necessary paperwork was filled in and sent to the claims dept, three weeks later the money was in my bank EXCELLENT SERVICE. We have used Explorer for the last few years and will continue to do so.”

“We purchased premium travel insurance and attempted to go through the claims procedure when the airline we booked with collapsed ahead of our holiday. The process has been very unsatisfactory. There has been no communication from the claims firm despite repeated attempts to obtain the relevant claims forms, so we haven't had a chance to even start our claim.”

“This is the second time we have used explorer for our annual trip policy. The forms are simple and clear. We have not had to use them yet and hopefully never will. They are competitive and appear to provide comprehensive cover.”

“Very difficult to get a quote. Had received an email offering 5% discount (still not sure if I've received it). Didn't initially use the 5% discount link but did go in to apply via my email. Received a quote but did live chat to see if they had applied the discount. They hadn't so needed to go through the whole process again. Came up with a different and much higher quote. Tried several times in various ways to retrieve the original quote. Got there in the end but it was a very long process involving 2 live chats and 1 phone call”
