“My first visit/purchase since they have gone online only. I have bought a lot of kayaking stuff from there over the years and one big plus was the advice from the very knowledgeable staff. The same great staff are there but now they just open the door and hand you a box! I will not purchase anything from there again, why would I? If it's cheaper on Amazon etc, their USP for me has gone. I also will not be able to recommend Escape to newcomers to water sports as I did in the past, a lot of people go there not really knowing what they need and the team there were great for guiding them in the right direction. And possibly upselling them but again this will no longer happen. Sad times.”

“My order arrived quickly, but communication regarding the delivery was poor. My £750 SOT was just left down the drive. Nobody was in to receive it, and I didn’t receive confirmation that’ll it had been delivered. Delivery was virtually free due to an Escape discount, and I realise that delivery of such a large item can’t be cheap, but just leaving a high value item on a drive is a bit poor in my opinion. Or maybe I’m just hyper-vigilant 😁 Brilliant kayak though. Paddles great, even with just me and three seven year olds aboard! And my daughter (7) and I have recently completed a couple of 3+ mile paddles together. It surfs well too; picking up Southerly micro swells!”

“I bought two sets Malone Seawing Kayak Carriers. Escape Watersports weren't able to tell me what dimensions of roof bar they would fit, so I emailed the manufacturers who quickly came back; so that's anything up to 88mm wide, and 31.75mm tall, if anyone else has the same query. The carriers came on time and would fit the bar no problem. But.... as I had quite deep cross bars, I needed 70mm bolts. Mine came with a full set of stainless 50mm bolts (too short for my purpose) and bizarrely a mixture 7 x 60mm and one 70mm. I quickly contacted Escape Watersports and they quickly got 7 x 70mm bolts to me. The omission was down to the manufacturers/suppliers. The carriers are great, very solid and make loading our two largish (27kg and 23 kg 4m+) sea going sit-ons much easier and hold them well in transport. Our sit-ons are 66cm (OK Scupper Pro) and 65cm (RTM Disco) wide, so be careful with wider craft, they might not fit depending on hull shape. As always I would strongly recommend Escape Watersports have bought many itmes off them in the past - I would have given 5 stars had I not had the bolt issue, but that was really not their fault.”
