“The engine company that is used throught your services have taken my £4000 for the engine not supplied me an engine and not refunded me , i can no longer find the company , they do not reply they have gone completly , this was a Scam all along. To say i am unahppy would be an understatment , i have lost all my savings and still do not have a working car. This review has come at the right time as i am now reaching out to you for supplying the details of a rogue company. please can you supply me contact details asap of complaints departmen, i have all the emails messages and even CCTV footage of various things that will become more clear when i speak with your complaints department”

Please contact our complaints team and provide **everything you have**, including the garage/company name, Engine Trust quote emails, telephone numbers, email addresses, payment receipts/bank details, messages, invoices and any other evidence you mentioned. This will allow us to identify the supplier, check our records and investigate what has happened. For clarity, Engine Trust operates as a **price comparison service** and does not receive or process payments for engines. Any purchase and payment is made directly between the customer and the chosen supplier. Under the Terms agreed when using our service, customers are also required to review and verify the supplier, their terms and their offering before making payment. Engine Trust cannot accept liability or provide reimbursement for money paid directly to a third-party supplier. That said, allegations of this nature are taken seriously. Once you provide the supplier details and supporting evidence, we will check the company against our records and determine what assistance we can provide, including helping establish the supplier information available to us.

Richard, we are genuinely sorry to hear about the situation you have described and the amount of money you say you have lost. However, our records show that while you did make an enquiry through Engine Trust — which is why you received an invitation to review our service — the company you ultimately chose and paid does not appear to be a supplier introduced to you through Engine Trust. Please send us the **company name, telephone number, email address, invoice/quotation, payment evidence, messages and any other supporting information you have**. We will cross-check these details against every supplier and quotation associated with your Engine Trust enquiry and establish this conclusively. Engine Trust is a price-comparison service. We do not receive or process payments for engines, and customers contract directly with whichever supplier they choose. Customers are also responsible for carrying out appropriate checks on a supplier before transferring funds. If your evidence shows that this company was introduced through Engine Trust, we will investigate the matter immediately. “I had an absolutely terrible experience. There were parts missing from the engine that was sent out, I was not told about this until I fired up the engine hoping to take it home and enjoy what was left of summer, sounded like a machine gun, so I called them and eventually they decided parts were missing. No apology let alone any kind of help, said I would have to pay for the labour to get these installed, parts that should have been already installed when the engine arrived! It then has taken over 2 weeks for them to be sent and every time they say it will be another day or so and they will call me to let me know. They never call when they say they will, they haven't made any effort to help me out after their mistake. Turns out it was my huge mistake to ever trust this company. Any good reviews you read about them can only be fake/bots is my assumption because I've never had such bad service. The engine doesn't even appear to be refurbished with the list of refurbished parts they said it would have. My mechanic believe it is just an old engine that has been repainted and only the head gaskets done, nothing to the bottom end.”

“Would never ever use Engine trust again. Recommended FIND MY ENGINE LTD. Bought a £2000 engine .They took money straight away and never seen engine.Didnt even try sending it. Avoid at all costs. Total scam”

“The man we got the engine from was a roaster. Just got the money back though the bank. Sent a 2017 engine when the van was a 20 plate, then turned out it was about to blow up and we never got no warranty pay pal was no good to. Luck the bank help out”

“Received quotes from around 12 different engine companies, none apparently VAT registered and the vast majority sounding dodgy at the very best. Some quotes were from Ltd companies that, on investigation, were dissolved years ago or never actually registered in the first place. None gave me the confidence to spend £thousands with them, I ended up going to a reputable local company which cost more but didn't give me sleepless nights”

“I wouldn't trust Engine Trust again. After making the comparisons I chose a garage Revive My Engine. They've had the car and nearly £3k of my money since June. There's no update or sign of my car and they don't reply to messages, calls or emails. Legal process has begun to get my car and money back. Are the garages verified on Engine Trust??”

“All I will say is anyone wanting to have work done on your precious Range Rover or Jaguar i dearly suggest you stay away from Range Rover Engine Works based at 36 Bates Road,Romford RH3 0JH UK.How they have treated me and other customers is nothing but unbelievable you will see information about this company on national TV soon.Please be mindful that you will not be able to pay by credit card so you have no consumer credit protection they only accept Bank Transfer,and debit card,No credit card and they will damage your car like they did with mine i could go on forever i am finding more problems with the vehicle as I write this review.”

“The company I thought I was buying an engine from turned out to be a scam. When I rang you looking for help, you gave me none. This wasn’t the first time the individual had done this. When I spoke to the company of who he was faking to be, they mentioned they’d told you and that it had happened 5+ times already.”
