We don't care if you got lots of quotes and what's the point of commenting. People want to know if you used any of the garages and if the work was carried out to a high standard. Pointless otherwise.

Do not use Engine Trust or (xxx xxxx xxxxxx redacted)! They will not refund my “surcharge” despite Engine Trust not obtaining my pre authorisation as listed in their own T&Cs for apparent “unserviceable vital components”. When this was pointed out to their customer service reps all I received was “no comment”. I’ve been chasing for my surcharge to be returned for a month and a half and all of a sudden there are replacement parts. Terrible to deal with. In the hand of citizen advice and trading standards as their registered address isn’t their registered address “addressee gone away” according to Royal Mail. Do not give these (xxxxxx Redacted) your money.

Engine Workshop . Unit 10, Sandpoint Marina Ltd, Woodyard Rd, Dumbarton G82 4BG.. Under no circumstances allow those people near your vehicle. I handed my vehicle in on the 27th August for a engine rebuild. The vehicle lay dumped in a garage in Paisley for 3 months and the loom connectors cut. The engine lay in Dumbarton. It was stripped and absolutely nothing done. I was quoted £1800 for engine removal, rebuilding and put back together. I was told the time involved was 3 weeks. From then on in. The made no contact until I finally ran out of patience. The engine was returned in a million pieces. Nothing had been done. It was covered in oil, The gear box , and several other bits and bobs missing. The front wheel had been removed and used on another vehicle. They then removed the drive shaft and replaced it with a clapped out one. The same with the turbo cooler and other bits and bobs. They took my wheel of someone else's vehicle for it to be loaded on a breakdown to be taken to another garage. Engine is useless.. Gearbox gone, later recovered and another 140 mile round journey to collect. The crankshaft is missing, and at a rough estimate it is going to cost around £4,000 to replace I was fed utter rubbish. Lets not forget about £2000 on a car hire. Do not believe one word they say. DO NOT LET THEM NEAR YOUR VEHICLE. If the company wants this removed contact me, and I will confirm it was me who wrote this

Seems that most quotes are sent from what I would call 'dodgy car engine repairers' check their websites and all seems fine, check their feedback and all seems fine, check their premises and alarm bells start to ring, check them on company's house and the bells get louder, tell them you want to pay via credit card and they say they only accept cash. no thanks, I don't get any warranty with cash, my money's gone and I don't get any muscle to get things resolved, Used a company last time in Rainham Essex, wish I had never allowed them to touch my vehicle, bunch of total cowboys that seemed to be working from a scrapyard within a large 'garage' how the hell they knew what engine was from which car/van is beyond me, my van was returned five times because of problems and now is expecting another engine, not happy, seems engine trust is pay to advertise site and has no interest in what goes on after your car/van has entered the quotee's doors.

Nearly every quote I received was from a dodgy broker who sends your vehicle to garages that have no reviews, no internet footprint, and very little evidence of being a genuine company. There is no "trust" in engine trust from me

Great service, it's a shame that out of the 4 quotes I received they all scored as scammers through a quick search. Won't be using again!

Although I did receive around 4 quotes, I’m not sure Engine Trust vet the garages. I got one quote from a company that apparently went bankrupt 6 months ago, 2 from “companies” that only had a gmail account and when searching for these companies there was no record of them being official, no website and no reviews and finally I got a quote from a garage that had 1/5 trust pilot score and every review was appalling. Good idea but needs tightening up, the building industry has check a trade .com and if this was in a similar vein it would be excellent

got 5 quotes but the one i chose was a scam Engines gearboxes ltd. Took my money delayed and delayed until they told me the rebuilt engine had faults. Asked for a refund which they said would take 3-5 days, then emailed to say that they had put a wrong digit in the account and it would take another 3-5 days. One month later no engine and they still have my money. Reported this to Engine Trust but got no reply. If you get a quote from enginesgearboxesltd stay well clear and don't pay anu money over.

Really dodgy garages, receved 6 quotes. Checked all garages couldn't find one without a load of complaints on review sites, shame as the idea of the app is great. Unfortunetly there is no dudiligance done by the app provider so seems to be full of cowboys.

Allow users to input email addresses without verifying them meaning that I keep getting emails from them because some idiot with the same name as me doesn't know what their Gmail email address is

Very poor service. Don't reply to any correspondence following paying the thousands for an engine that runs terrible. Still ongoing latest the cam chain they fitted is wrongly installed. Don't get involved with this company like I sadly did.

Only received 1 quote from a garage that is miles away from where I live so would be unable to be towed there. Not feesible - looking for assistance fairly local not over 50 miles and over an hour drive time in a functional car
