“Engine was as expected can't believe there was no sump plug and still waiting for payment held for exchange as they said they would”

“Yes, the engine trust website did help but the company I chose was Engines4U. The seemed pleasant enough and I was initially happy with their quote but after five weeks and the expense of more parts they returned my vehicle only to break down after 12 miles. They have not replied to my requests to collect the vehicle and put it right.”

“Some of the results are scams. They request a payment deposit by bank transfer will not accept credit card payments. I don't think so !! Also their website exists only as a link. If you put it in to a browser there is no result and no result if you Google it. Not prepared to take chances with that amount of money”

“Lots of quotes for engines, unfortunately they were all overpriced and not worth repairing a car which was nearly 14 years old. The prices some were quoting were more than what the car was worth. Ended up being sold for parts.”

“Had 3 quotes which seemed promising but delving further into the quotes and speaking to the garages found a lot of underlying costs. Not truthful about the service or costs so won't be using any of them”

“Very quickly receive quotes. The fault is in the providers to not explain payment terms or if card payments can be made(if they have the ability on this forum). Personally, if a company does not accept card payments then they should not be listed here”

“Seems that most quotes are sent from what I would call 'dodgy car engine repairers' check their websites and all seems fine, check their feedback and all seems fine, check their premises and alarm bells start to ring, check them on company's house and the bells get louder, tell them you want to pay via credit card and they say they only accept cash. no thanks, I don't get any warranty with cash, my money's gone and I don't get any muscle to get things resolved, Used a company last time in Rainham Essex, wish I had never allowed them to touch my vehicle, bunch of total cowboys that seemed to be working from a scrapyard within a large 'garage' how the hell they knew what engine was from which car/van is beyond me, my van was returned five times because of problems and now is expecting another engine, not happy, seems engine trust is pay to advertise site and has no interest in what goes on after your car/van has entered the quotee's doors.”
