I placed an order, but the item was faulty. I was given a refund, but they refused to refund my original delivery and return delivery charges, saying they could not find a fault. Perhaps the item has an intermittent fault - either way, it was faulty for me and I won’t be using the company again.

Lovely products and prices but I had to pay to return my item then because I returned it I was charged for shipping in the first place?! This is a terrible policy and I haven’t shopped anywhere else in recent years that does this so I’m surprised. In the end I may as well have kept the item as it wasn’t expensive but didn’t realise this policy. Wouldn’t shop again.

Not very impressed with service !I bought six cusions one had a very bad pull !I send you a photograph of the pull !your reply was it looks like a crease!!!I pointed out I do know the difference between a crease and a pull !certainly not a reply I expected !been in business my myself I found it most un business like !so will not be ordering from you again Lisa Green

This review is not reflective of previous experiences but am very disappointed with my last order.I ordered curtains to match bedding and they were nothing alike. Unfortunately ide unpacked them too early

Ordered a medium sized mirror, didn't get any information regarding dispatch until I received an email from carrier on the morning of delivery - a work day for me so not ideal but thought I'd see if they would leave with neighbours or offer a pick up from local depot (as often is the case) Calling card said they'd try again the following day- so I arranged for family member to sit in. Unfortunately as it was my birthday and lots of parcels arriving, my father thought he'd taken delivery of item (obviously confused with another package that came- that I wasn't aware of) As we'd missed delivery on 2 occasions apparently the mirror was then returned to sender- before 10am the next day! Never heard of this before! I contacted dotmaison to explain what happened- they were very unsympathetic- I was told I'd be deducted the return delivery cost before refund- or, if I still wanted the item (I obviously did!) then I'd need to pay the return delivery cost and an additional re-delivery cost too. (For a £250+ item, I was disappointed that they would add two lots of delivery fees) Customer services lacking. Competitive pricing of mirror turned out not to be competitive once had added all the delivery charges.

Not very happy, quick to take my money but when i returned the item it seems a long drawn out process to give me my refund waiting for 2 weeks then got an email to say it could be another 14 days before they make a decision whether to give me my money

We advise to allow up to 14 days for your refund to be processed, however it usually happens significantly faster than this. Great products but one cup chipped on arrival. Emailed but no replacement sent as in the rush of Christmas I hadn’t taken a photo. Bit disappointing that there was no faith.

Disappointed by expense of return. Post office label to download was £3.50 but I chose the Collect + option also offered, for my convenience. No price was given for this but I later discovered £7.50 was deducted from my return! I was very disappointed the significant price difference between the two options had not been pointed out at the return stage. Left feeling rather tricked and have rated as poor as a result of this complete and extensive lack of clarity.

Delivery was fine but purchased Christmas bedding for my own bed in the black Friday sale at 20% off only for it to be immediately discounted to 40% straight after the black Friday sale making it a bit of a rip off. Emailed to ask for a refund on the difference pointing out I could simply return my original order and place a new one at the cheaper price but that it hardly seemed like an environmentally friendly thing to do and was told they wouldn't refund and if I wanted to reorder I should. Really quite disappointed and so ordered a further set for my daughter from elsewhere preferring not to shop again with dot maison.

Dear Parveen, Thank you for your review and we are sorry you are disappointed with the compensation we offered. I can see you purchased a Koziol Boxxx Organiser and on the underside of the bottom of the box there was a scratch. Our customer team offered a 20% discount on the price you paid for the item or a prepaid label to return to us for a replacement, and from the email trail you accepted with thanks the 20% discount, therefore the customer team felt that you were happy with the compromise. It's quite difficult to agree a level of compensation however in this instance where the scratch is on the underside, would not be visible in use at all and would not affect the use-ability of the item we feel it to be a fair offer, especially as you were also offered a free return. We do understand of course that in the current climate returns can be difficult if it means a trip to the post office. Kind regards Customer Team
