“It took quite a while, which I blame on the provider that had the SIM ME lock enabled in the first place. They do provide a website to get the unlock codes free of charge, I applied, no reaction. Called the provider, talked to some tech guy, we call you back ... still waiting for them to call.
Finally got the unlock code today from Direct Unlocks, after some days ago they messaged me that they can't provide the codes. So, twice as happy now. Got the unlock code, it worked flawlessly.
Money well spent? Hard to say ... purchased the locked phone second hand for little money. But it was useless to me while locked. So, now at least it isn't.”
