I ordered an Axon Millbeck, but received a Woodford Turing. A phone call established that they were one and the same, branded differently. Delivered on a pallet to the front of the house and as I hadn't paid for a two man delivery had to manoeuvre it into the house. It was very heavy! It looks great, and seems very well made, consistent with the lifetime guarantee. I'm waiting for it to be fitted so can't comment on performance, but I'd be surprised if it doesn't perform as expected.

Can't fault Direct Stoves for service and delivery however the quality of the Carron stove supplied is somewhat disappointing. Water came out of joints on first fire up, colour doest match flue and there is no riddle for the Ash?

Hi Mark, Thanks for your review. We appreciate your feedback regarding the stove received, and we're pleased to hear that you've been impressed by the service received from Direct Stoves. The multifuel kit for the Carron stove would typically include a grate, front fire bar and ash pan. We only rarely hear of issues with ash spilling etc. where stoves are overloaded with fuel. My stove was delivered just a week ago, it will not be installed for another 2 weeks so too early to judge. But ordering and delivery worked well so I have high hopes.

I am happy with the my log burner, and only now trying it out. Seems to be working well. But there is no instructions manual around how to use it. The delivery came a day before the date arranged luckily I was home.

Very pleased with the fire. Staff are very polite and helpful. Delivery driver was also very polite and helpful. The only reason it’s not a five is because the instructions for arranging the coals and logs was not clear to me.

Purchased an Axon wood stove from Direct Stove, after a quick call to ensure it was in stock and could be arranged on a certain date - order was placed online - delivery in the morning as requested - looks great - just waiting to use in as the nights draw in. I would have preferred a glove to a mitten to open/close the stove door.

Bought our stove from Direct Stoves. Stove was a great price - we'd shopped around and this was very competitive Had to wait a wee bit as we'd arranged the 2 man delivery. Guys were really good when they came and everything was in order. Can't wait till winter now!

Our shipping partners do try to meet requested delivery dates as closely as we can, though this is ultimately dependent upon the courier in question and there are admittedly instances where it may be necessary to rearrange. Where there is a problem with delivery, we often recommend giving our dispatch team a call so that we can address any issues as quickly and completely as possible. brilliant stove. the carriage note specified a 7.5 ton lorry, but it arrived on an 18 ton lorry which could not get nearer than 100 yards from the house. the driver was as helpful as he could be, but did not have time/orders to help us beyond that. the stove was very heavy, and required all our ingenuity and a car to get it to the house, which took two hours.

As part of the one man delivery service that we offer, the goods should arrive on a lorry that is about the size of a fire engine, though we do recommend that customers get in touch if they have any more precise requirements or restrictions. The driver would aim to transport the pallet as close to the property as is safe and possible, providing level ground with no steep slopes or gravel driveways. This would be due to the weight and size of many items. For future reference, we do offer a two-man delivery option for customers who might need additional assistance in getting the stove into the property. Thanks again for your order. Stove is excellent and very attractive. Unfortunately when we ordered we were advised stove was available but then due to demand there was a delay. However it has been worth the wait.

Direct stores were very good at responding to questions prior to any purchase made. Despatch was prompt. Delivery date was reasonably easy to change when required. Delivery team were very helpful.

No information received on the delivery, considering size and weight etc.(perhaps I missed it?) One part is damaged, but not a big deal as can glue back on? Spending this sort of money the spacers for fire bricks should have been included. Just honest comments, you asked!

Very pleased with service. Arrived very quickly. Also I had asked for a price match on 21st February. Had email to say this has been done. Although still awaiting refund. I know this takes a while to process. I'm extremely please with my fire. Many thanks.

No complaints, stove seem ok. Instructions for the vents are not there, for example which way you open and close vent on the top of stove. Approximate positions for the bottom two slides when you have fire on, as a newcomer to a stove basic instructions would have been helpful

I waited a long time for my stove and understood the reasons for the delay. However, I do feel the company could have kept me informed, even on a monthly basis, for a brief update. I felt I had to chase my order and in the end only found out it was in stock when I contacted you again for information. It makes me wonder how long you had had it in your warehouse. Did my e mail prompt you or were you going to contact me by coincidence that same week? The stove is now fitted and looks beautiful. It has not been lit yet though! A word on your delivery courier. The stove was left by the driver to be brought into the house by my 60 year old partner. A tough ask for him considering the weight, 130 kg! It would have been nice for the driver to offer his help.
