“I started using Dermatica over a year ago for both ageing skin and acne. It has taken my skin a long time to tolerate tretinoin, and there have been times when I have had to stop using it as my skin became so sensitive. However, it has been a worthwhile journey. My skin is much clearer both from acne and discolouration. Any spots I do get clear up so much quicker. I wouldn’t say that it has dramatically improved my wrinkles, but my skin definitely looks fresher and smoother than before. I also use Dermatica’s azelaic acid (have I spelt that right?!), and their light weight gel moisturiser both of which I would highly recommend.
I will definitely be continuing my journey with Dermatica. One piece of advice I would give to anybody using tretinoin is when cleansing do not use a flannel. Use a very soft wash cloth. Flannels are way too harsh when you are using something as strong as tretinoin.”
“My personalised formula has been the ONLY thing that has helped with my adult hormonal acne (and believe me, I tried everything over the counter that I possibly could - AHAs/BHAs/serums/skincare). Nothing would get rid of my closed comedones, especially. I still get the odd spot here and there but nothing major as I was getting before. “I took a little break from Dermatica and when I’ve returned the range has changed. It’s great that the cleanser etc are now in bigger sizes. However, the formula for the moisturiser appears to have changed. It used to be lightweight and creamy and would sink into your skin leaving it feeling really soft. Now it leaves a residue on your skin and feels sticky. The same goes for the hyaluronic serum, I think this is a new product and was part of a bundle. Like the moisturiser this feels sticky and you’re waiting forever for it to dry to then put the moisturiser on top. My face feels tacky for hours after washing my face. Please go back to the old formula!”

We have tailored the products to suit oily or dry skin to dry assist with the issues our patient's face more accurately however we appreciate the old products were great too.
The new products are not like for like but we hope our patient's will love them just as much.
