My skin peels off all the time and feels very dry when using, so I can only use it once a week. More recently I have noticed that my eyes are swollen in the morning after using the prescription which did not happen before. BTW I always avoid the area around my eyes.

Hello there, Thank you for taking the time to share insights of your experience so far. When you first start using prescription topical treatment, you may notice your skin becoming red and flaky as you have described. The treatments can also make your skin feel dry and tight as well as give you a burning, itching, or stinging sensation. If the dryness, peeling, and/or redness are still uncomfortable for you, try applying your moisturizer first, waiting 3-5 minutes for it to absorb, and then apply your topical treatment to your face. Alternatively, you can minimise any peeling by using the product every other night Please be advised that with your first treatment you will receive a treatment guide that will explain how to integrate your Dermatica treatment into your routine, this guide will also contain some handy tips to minimise any side effects that you may experience. Every skin and its journey is different. Sometimes dryness, itchiness and redness is a part of the process your skin needs to go through to get the results. Still haven’t received my order, ordered the cleanser and moisturised 4 days after and that arrived, pleased with that so far but my personalised formula is still yet to be delivered.

I took a little break from Dermatica and when I’ve returned the range has changed. It’s great that the cleanser etc are now in bigger sizes. However, the formula for the moisturiser appears to have changed. It used to be lightweight and creamy and would sink into your skin leaving it feeling really soft. Now it leaves a residue on your skin and feels sticky. The same goes for the hyaluronic serum, I think this is a new product and was part of a bundle. Like the moisturiser this feels sticky and you’re waiting forever for it to dry to then put the moisturiser on top. My face feels tacky for hours after washing my face. Please go back to the old formula!

I’ve only just received it within the last 2 days so haven’t noticed any difference in my skin as of yet. Delivery was very quick though.

Unfortunately, the 3 products I bought including ; cleanser, peptide moisturiser & spf 50 face cream have been very drying on my skin The spf face cream balls and pills up on my skin ..? After a few hours my skin feels quite tacky and dry … None of the 2 moisturiser’s play well with my other facial serum’s??? Very disappointing

Even though my problems have been stated so many times and extensive research shows hydroquinone is the best treatment, I am not being given it and my main reason for joining dermatica is not being met

Strengths of ingredients chosen also reflects the need to balance the benefit delivered by the medication versus any side effects and this can be titrated up or down accordingly according to your needs. Please be advised that our dermatology team will always take your preferences into account with regards to your treatment, including strengths and ingredients, however safe and effective prescribing must remain our priority for our patients. Where we are not able to offer you a specific treatment we will reach out to you to advise you of this. We do try to offer a flexible, accommodating and accessible service and we would like to apologise that this has not been your experience this far. There is a notes section on the consultation we advise patients to put in treatment preference to allow us to be aware of this when choosing the desired product. I'm using the cleanser, treatment and the moisturiser. My skin just feels tight and dry. My skin was actually so dry and flaky that I had to wash the moisturiser off during the day. The treatment may be working but I won't be using the other products.

I love Dermatica, the customised cream has really been a godsend to my skin. I also really loved their ready made products, the cleanser and cream, until now. They revamped their ready made product range and the new range has given me a reaction of super dry, red unhappy skin. I’ve had to use so much other moisturiser to get it better. Please bring the old range back!!!
