My delivery was due 8 days ago. It still has not arrived and no-one is answering the telephone number on their website. I have emailed them and will now speak to my credit card company to request that the payment is returned

Pre delivery dates not adhered to. Needed 2 bulk bags dropped on to my trailer but because delivery was 2 days early I was not there and they dumped it on the ground leaving me with the job of shovelling 2 bulk bags onto my trailer. NOT IMPRESSED!

Hi Roger, please accept our sincerest apologies for the early arrival of your goods. We informed the third party haulier to deliver on the 21st which was chosen on your order, so we apologise if it arrived earlier than expected. We will be investigating with the courier why this occurred.

Turned up a day late. No telephone call an hour prior to delivery. Unable to contact Decorative Aggregates to see what was going on. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!

Thank you for your review. We are sorry that your order arrived a day late. The UK haulage network is currently under a tremendous strain due to driver shortages and unprecedented volumes of freight moving through the system - this is resulting in some potential delays of up to 2 working days, which we have advised across our website (this is also impacting our competitors and beyond our sector). As we use third party couriers with their own independent delivery systems, we rely on them to notify customers of any potential delays. We are responding to all calls and emails, however the phone lines are very busy at present times. Looking at the order notes, I can see that we did request the courier call you an hour prior to delivery, and we sincerely apologise that they failed to do this and for any inconvenience caused.

Delivery cancelled twice and a week late. Also unable to make contact to order additional aggregate and so had to go to a competitor.

The team is very busy answering all calls that come through, however the line is frequently engaged at present. We have advised across our website and email communications that due to challenges faced within the UK hauage network, some orders may experience delays of 2-3 working days or more. This is primarily due to driver shortages due to Brexit and increased volumes of freight moving through the network as lockdown alleviates. I understand your goods have been delivered and signed for, and once again we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Ordering and delivery was easy and quick and was very pleased. The quality is also good. So it's a shame to leave a bad review but unfortunately the first gravel we received was the wrong gravel. We didn't realise this at the time and so laid it. We needed more so had another order which was likely correct but we had to send back as didn't look like the first one. We have since had two more deliveries for some reason of the same gravel. It's impossible to get hold of anyone to sort. Phone mostly engaged and when it does ring it just rings out. No response to email. It's a shame as it's a small error that we are just trying to sort.

The first bag of stone you received was correct, however we believe the second bag may have been the incorrect colour - we do sincerely apologise for this and we have since collected this and sent out a new delivery with the correct stone, which we have confirmed to be correct with our quarry. We have tried to call you but we've been unable to reach you - please may you call the office back on 01629 630256 and we will be able to help resolve the situation.

Pebbles were not washed and a lot of tiny pieces and waste in load took all day to clean pebbles and made a mess of lawn the 1 star is for the delivery man great guy.

Hello, thank you for your review. Our decorative aggregates are sourced directly from the quarry - as these stones are natural products, natural material can sometimes find its way into the bags. We do apologise for the inconvenience - unfortunately this is the first time we have been made aware of this, please could you send any pictures to enquiries@derbyaggs.com and we will investigate this.

I never write reviews like this but I wanted to warn others about this company. I definitely would not recommend ordering from them. I placed an order for a bulk bag of stones and after selecting a delivery date was called a few days later to say they actually weren't in stock and that it would be a few weeks wait. I accepted the option to wait (rather than be refunded) but had to chase them up after a month. They then told me the stones had come back in stock but they forgot to send them. After arranging another delivery day, I then received an email saying the stones had been dispatched well ahead of the delivery day but after numerous attempts to call them, I had to email as they never answer the phone. I was assured the email I received was automated and that the stones definitely would not come before the delivery day. The stones then arrived whilst I was at work (well ahead of scheduled delivery) and were just left on my drive with no one at home. I rang the driver who had attempted to call me and he refused to give me his office number to sort it out. I messaged on Facebook and tried ringing Decorative Aggregates over 60 times that afternoon but it was either engaged or they didn't pick up. No one responded to my facebook communication although they did read it. I then emailed them and eventually someone replied. After 5 days of the stones being delivered, to rectify the problem they asked if I wanted them picking up and redelivering the day after when they were due. I already explained that my 65 year old father had already had to move 50 bags of stones one by one from the front of the house to the back so they weren't stolen and they thought the stones being moved back to the front, collected and redelivered would solve the problem! When I said this was unacceptable they then attempted to call me once and left a message for me to call back. I rang numerous times but again they didn't answer. I emailed to say I had tried to return the call but no-one got back to me. What an absolutely appalling level of customer service.

This delivery was requested for 14th May but did not arrive. I telephoned and got no reply! I was informed that the delivery was past on to another company. They did not deliver on four separate occasions. I genuinely was of the opinion that I had been scammed until I received delivery on 21st May, one week late, which was not acceptable. I am most unhappy and discontent with your service.

Dear Anita, thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We sincerely apologise for the delayed delivery of your goods and for any subsequent difficulty you had with reaching us. We use several 3rd party courier's to deliver and they are all reporting the potential for delays due to a strain on the UK delivery network. Although over 98% of our orders continue to arrive on time, unfortunately, some customers are experiencing delays. Because the couriers are independent companies, we have no way of accessing their internal systems, and at present they are prioritising timely deliveries over communication which makes it particularly difficult for us to learn of specific order delays and to provide new ETA's. Although your goods have now been delivered, we understand the inconvenience of such delays and once again we sincerely apologise.

Should have delivered Friday, delivered Wednesday. No answer on phone, ever. No answer on emails. No information about who was delivering my items Only good thing was the delivery guy from Walkers, he was great. If you use them, don't expect them when they say, wait for the text from walkers.

Hello Matthew thanks for your review. We are advising customers that, due to issues within the haluage network, there is a potential for delays at the moment. However the majority of deliveries are arriving on time. We are also receiving a very high volume of calls and are answering phones all day (the queuing system sounds as if it is ringing), and we are answering all emails but, if a delay occurs, the hauliers should, as you say, contact you with revised timings.

Poor customer service Delivery promised for 3 days consecutively - no delivery arrived even though each day it was out for delivery ! 3 days off work unpaid waiting on false promises !! No apology Only an email that says it must have been a nightmare ! Would not recommend company !! Trying to get hold of ‘the right department’ and then for some one to call you back !!

Still haven’t received my stones. They were due to be delivered on 27th April, I’ve had no email about delivery. Called numerous times just says user busy, emailed 3 times and still no response. Not happy

Just haven’t bothered sending my order which was scheduled to be delivered on 7th May! Can’t get through on phone line to find out where it is. Can only assume the website is a fraud….don’t order from them!

Used them as I purchased from them 5 years ago - how times change. Whilst nothing can be guaranteed one thing you can control is good communication. Having booked a day off for my delivery, with a no show, I received no call or reply to my message/email. Finally the delivery turned up, 3 days later - luckily I was home. Would never recommend and should have read the recent reviews which back up poor service.

We use several 3rd party hauliers to deliver our goods and they are all warning of potential delays due to massive volumes of freight moving through the delivery network. This isn't just impacting Decorative Aggregates, but the sector as a whole. Sadly, our competitors are also facing similar challenges. Unfortunately, as the hauliers are independent companies we do not have access to their systems and rely on them to inform customers of any potential delays. The couriers are doing their utmost to ensure every delivery arrives on time, however they are focussing on timely deliveries over communication at present. Once again we sincerely apologise for the delay and for any inconvenience caused.

Slate delivery was difficult ending with pallet left in the middle of our unmade road.. slate was not the size ordered and was covered in sludge meaning every bag needed washing by hand before it could be used.

Still awaiting delivery that should had arrived 2 weeks ago. Not contacted by phone when the first delivery was claimed to had arrive. Rescheduled 2nd delivery no contact made. Cannot contact customer service as it is always engaged

Hello Mark we are sorry for the problems with your order. It appears the delivery man attempted delivery but it is a renovation property and he failed to contact you in advance of arrival. We have issued a refund and re-delivery has been arranged. Once again, apologies for the inconvenience.

quality of stones were good however the delivery man had a bad attitude and damaged the drain at the end of my driveway. he did not seem to have the ability to use the equipment to deliver my stones resulting in the damage done to my driveway when questioned about the damage he told me I could buy a replacement for about £10 from any drainage company! I have informed the company of my problem and have had no reply! would not use again!

We use a number of hauliers and all are reporting that volumes are currently at unprecedented levels within the logistics pallet sector. The Road Haulage Association has also highlighted severe driver shortages. We have worked with our hauliers for many years and are doing all we can to support their businesses during these difficult times. It will take some time for the sector to be fully resourced and, whilst the majority of orders continue to be delivered on time, we have added warnings of potential delays via our website and on communications to our customers. We apologise for the inconvenience you have experienced but hope we can rely on your understanding given the circumstances. We will, of course, refund any priority charges and have actioned this.

Great delivery , some of the stones changed colour within a few days . Still waiting for response from the company as I cannot get hold of them .
