"I normally never write reviews, but felt strongly about posting one here.\r\n\r\nSo, I am in no way crafty... at all! I had planned to use an interior designer to make me a lampshade in a specific fabric I had chosen but, after a number of re-quotes, I felt she was out to fleece me. I decided to buy this lampshade kit and source the fabric myself, assuming I'd make a mess of it, but was happy to give it a bash for the potential cost saving.\r\n\r\nFabric and shade kit arrived, and I consulted the Dannell's website, where I found loads of guidance on using the kit and a number of links to their step-by-step walk-through videos on YouTube. I watched the support videos a number of times and got to work on my own shade, watching a guidance video and pausing it as I went. \r\n\r\nThe videos were amazingly helpful; they detailed the whole process very methodically and offered a number of hints and tips at every stage of the assembly. The kit behaved exactly as it was meant to, and I ended up with (even if I do say so myself) an INCREDIBLY PROFESSIONAL looking lampshade! I couldn't believe it! I took my time, was careful and really enjoyed my afternoon crafting. I was dead chuffed to have created something myself that has such a professional finish. I didn\u2019t imagine for a minute that the end result would be this good! In fact, thanks to Dannells (and some patience and attention to detail on my part) the finish on this shade is much better than any I have bought.\r\n\r\nIf you have any reservations about this kit, DON\u2019T. I was so unbelievably impressed and I\u2019m sure you will be, too! Thank you, Dannells!"

"I love the Dannell kits. The instructions are easy to follow and I have several fabulous lampshades around my house as a result of this. The only glitch with the latest creation was that I was using thicker woollen type fabric and the double-sided tape wasn\u2019t strong enough for it on the edges, but I used my glue gun and now the finished result, with the gold backing looks glorious in my dining room."
