“The website is easy to use and provides a good range of quotes. But the lower prices were all provided by 'Marshmallow'. I found a quote that met my needs, read all the blurb and paid by card. Only AFTER I'd paid was I told of the ID check requirements. First a copy of my passport and a selfie...OK. Then access to my bank account to be monitored by 'Plaid' for 3 months...all my private details exposed to an organisation online. NO WAY. I declined immediately and asked to cancel my 'new policy' within minutes of paying. I'm then told that I would get a refund minus £30 admin costs. This is a scam, earning Marshmallow £30 for every customer who isn't prepared to risk all their private ID information being exposed online. I have tried four times over 4 days to contact Marshmallow to discuss this and get no further than an AI chat bot who says a 'human agent' will get back to me. I haven't yet had a response but still get reminders that my policy isn't valid until I complete their ID check. Steer clear of Marshmallow. Confused.com should not promote this company because they don't inform you of the ID check requirements until AFTER you have paid. Hence my low rating.”

“Lots of potential car insurance policies at confused.Lots of different prices,you have plenty to choose from on this wonderful site.........I chose wrongly last year by opting for Policy Expert.............don't know where their expertise lies,it certainly didn't help me,when I couldn't get into my locked car (keys were inside).”
