“First class service from Ian in the bed department, clearly, he knows that choosing beds, bases and headboards is not a five-minute job and has the understanding to be around for questions but not to pester the customer. His input and advice was very much appreciated by us and we're very pleased with the purchases we made. The delivery went smoothly, despite the van breaking down and causing the delivery men a problem before they got to us, they were still very polite and helpful. Well done Claytons on the quality of your staff.

I had my carpets replaced after many years. I feel the underlay is very poor and seems lumpy and dips. I kept some of my old rubber underlay which we have fitted ourselves in the stair cupboard and the carpet is much better on that. I assumed a 9mm underlay would be of the same standard as I’d previously had. As I’ve had all of the stairs and upstairs done there’s little I can do to address this now. So I would say please check you’re happy with the underlay you are quoted for. I’d have been willing to pay more to get a better feel to the carpet. Sadly I feel quite disappointed plus the creaking of my floors is now awful. Didn’t have creaks before installation and they drive me bonkers.
Clayton’s do not ring and ask if you’re happy but if you have an issue they will try to resolve it. Can’t see how I can resolve this though as no way can I remove all the furniture again for refitting.
