“Great showroom with really friendly staff. I had my carpets replaced after many years. I feel the underlay is very poor and seems lumpy and dips. I kept some of my old rubber underlay which we have fitted ourselves in the stair cupboard and the carpet is much better on that. I assumed a 9mm underlay would be of the same standard as I’d previously had. As I’ve had all of the stairs and upstairs done there’s little I can do to address this now. So I would say please check you’re happy with the underlay you are quoted for. I’d have been willing to pay more to get a better feel to the carpet. Sadly I feel quite disappointed plus the creaking of my floors is now awful. Didn’t have creaks before installation and they drive me bonkers. Clayton’s do not ring and ask if you’re happy but if you have an issue they will try to resolve it. Can’t see how I can resolve this though as no way can I remove all the furniture again for refitting. Live and learn 😫”

“Excellent service from start to finish, plenty of choice and helpful advice from Glynis in choosing the right sofas for us. Delivered within the time stated. The two delivery men were also very pleasant. Would not hesitate to recommend Claytons for any furniture needs.”

“Service in shop good not the cheapest but wanted quality, was charged on the day for an extra gripper which I thought was included which I wasn't happy about”

“Had a lot of problems with delivery. 7 Months is excessive. Then to find parts missing, with lots of excuses. However we are pleased with the end result at last!!! Delivery and fitting excellent!”

“Really pleased with the carpet but so impressed with timing of fitting service. We were told when we bought the carpet that we were the second job on the list for that day, however no fitters at 12.30 so had to ring to find out where they were, told they were at the chip shop and would be there in 20 mins they turned up at 3 pm, what a long 20 mins !!!! Ended up having to take full day off work when we were lead to believe it would only be a morning job, full day wasted.”

“Everything worked out OK in the end and I am pleased with the end result. Communication was not always perfect and this resulted in a couple of wasted journeys.”
