“Have just returned from spending several hours choosing a suite at Claytons........and what a positive experience it was. We had arranged this visit with Glynis who had organised for a suite to be brought out of the warehouse for us to view. From the moment we walked through the door we were met by friendly staff....and Glynis herself was superb. She gave us time to consider our purchase privately, but was there to answer all our questions and show us alternatives to our initial choices. Listening to our discussions she made gentle suggestions for our consideration, but never harassed or hurried us. Once we had made our decision she introduced us to the delivery drivers, who cheerfully offered their advice re delivery. Thank you so much Glynis for your patience and advice. Although we had made a considerable journey to view the furniture it was more than worth it.”

“We have just placed an order for two Stressless chairs and would just like to say what excellent service we received from Glynis, no pushy sales just a friendly, efficient and humorous manner which made everything run smoothly. This is our first purchase from Claytons and we are sure it will not be our last. We cannot comment on the delivery service at this point as we have to wait approx 8 weeks for the items.”

“What a superb service from Glynis! She quickly understood my needs (I am disabled and have great difficulty in finding seating that is comfortable) and worked patiently with me to find the best solution from a range of recliners that we were interested in. Her patience, good humour and knowledge of the products is commendable. We are very satisfied with the La Z Boy Georgina leather two seat double power recliner that we have ordered. Would definitely recommend this excellent family run firm to others.”

“Glynis at Claytons in Lincoln was very helpful when we were looking to buy new sofas. She gave good advice and was very patient. There was only one thing.........Glynis, if you read this you said you'd send a colour swatch for the plush velvet indigo sofas we chose as the small bench footstool was unavailable. I wanted to find a footstool in a close match colour.”

“Great showroom with really friendly staff. I had my carpets replaced after many years. I feel the underlay is very poor and seems lumpy and dips. I kept some of my old rubber underlay which we have fitted ourselves in the stair cupboard and the carpet is much better on that. I assumed a 9mm underlay would be of the same standard as I’d previously had. As I’ve had all of the stairs and upstairs done there’s little I can do to address this now. So I would say please check you’re happy with the underlay you are quoted for. I’d have been willing to pay more to get a better feel to the carpet. Sadly I feel quite disappointed plus the creaking of my floors is now awful. Didn’t have creaks before installation and they drive me bonkers. Clayton’s do not ring and ask if you’re happy but if you have an issue they will try to resolve it. Can’t see how I can resolve this though as no way can I remove all the furniture again for refitting. Live and learn 😫”

“Over the last year we have ordered beds and sofas. Our last purchase was 2 sofas, we ordered these through Glynis in the sofa department who spent quite a bit of time with us and advised us on the coordinating cushions. Glynis went out of her way was so helpf and extremely friendly through the purchase. Thank you Glynis you are a star and the sofas look fantastic 💕”

“My husband and I had the pleasure to be served today by Glynis Clipson, who we found to be very polite, friendly and helpful, she took the time to answer all our question In detail and made the experience of shopping in Clayton’s a pleasure. How refreshing to not be followed around the store and then be given the hard sell. We have shoped at Clayton’s before and will certainly continue to do so in the future. Highly recommend this store.”

“We came to the showroom to try out lift and recline armchairs. Glynis was very helpful and had good product knowledge. We ordered two Celebrity brand armchairs, lift and recline in our sizes and paid our deposit. We were told the chairs were ready for delivery a few weeks later (since they are not stocked but made to your order/ colour/ fabric etc) We then paid the remaining amount with good communication from Jane in Claytons accounts. The delivery men were very good (large very polite lads) and unpacked and brought in the two chairs, then assembled the backs to them. They plugged them in and demonstrated all the chair functions. One accessory item was missing, but the delivery chaps got on the phone and it was sent by next day delivery. Very good service, chairs very comfortable, excellent!”
