About Chococo:

We have been crafting fine chocolates in Dorset since 2002 with origin chocolate & local, seasonal ingredients (& no additives, preservatives or added sugar), so they are truly handmade, handpacked & delivered fresh.

“my first order and I wasn't disappointed. I had a problem with the Royal Mail delivery and they acted promptly to sort it out. The orange chocolate slab was divine, The rest have been gifts. Will be ordering again.”

“I have the same feedback as the last time I brought a box of chocolates from Chococo The quality is amazing, but you do not get every type of chocolate in the box! I’ve read the discription and chocolate list and there are some missing but multiples of others. I find this very strange and being completely Honest, I feel like it’s a bit of a con. I expect a minimum of 1 of each type of chocolate advertised to be in the box. Can only think that some chocolates must cost chococo more money to produce and this is a money saving tactic”

Thank you for your review and we're so glad that you love our quality, but sorry that you're not thrilled. The list of flavours contained in our boxes can be seen on the 'Important Information About This Product' dropdown on the product pages of our website. Substitutions of one flavour for another is sometimes necessary in the themed boxes especially as we make in small batches and not all ingredients are always available. On our website we try our best to explain the nuances which may occur in our boxes without having to constantly update contents and our menu cards as our making cycles change. We can absolutely assure you that the contents of our chocolate boxes are not decided upon as a money saving tactic but based on our current menu, chocolate type as well as what they look like in the box - hence we have templates that the packing team work to. We certainly don't want customers to feel that we're conning them, and if any customer is disappointed, we really want to be able to put it right, or at least explain where there may be some misunderstanding.

“We buy from this company on every special occasion and have also visited their Dorset store! Absolutely fabulous chocolates. The flavours are so unusual but work so well and look pretty too! Highly recommended. The only change I would make is that it would be nice to be able to select a delivery date ie for a birthday”

It's easy to select a preferred delivery date - simply choose the First Class Preferred Delivery option as you go through the checkout and that will allow you to select a date in the future from a dropdown calendar - simples 😁️

“Chocolate was good but only good which when paying £25 I was disappointed. Good flavour but nothing more than any other company that I've tried. Wouldn't want to recommend to others and won't be buying again anytime soon.”

We're sorry to hear this. We're passionate about the quality of our chocolate and we only source fine single origin chocolate made with fine cocoa beans, pure cocoa butter and cane sugar, from companies who craft local fine cocoa beans into couverture chocolate in their countries of origin. It’s a shame as we have so many fans of our chocolate which is ethically sourced, hand-crafted and hand packed in plastic-free packaging, and worth every penny, but we also know we can't please all the people all the time, and at the end of the day, it's all a matter of personal taste.

“I bought the gin infused chocolate selection for a girly weekend.... They did not last very long! They were absolutely scrumptious!!!! The packaging was all recyclable, including the external posting pack. Brilliant service, brilliant chocolates, will definitely buy some more! Thank you very much!!”

“Chocolate itself is very good but you could do with leaving the nibs off. This adds nothing to the experience and deflects from the flavour of the actual bar.”

Thank you, it's fab to hear that you love our Gorgeous Gold caramelised white chocolate. We add the cocoa nibs to give a wonderful intense cocoa crunch and pure, unsweetened hit to balance the sweetness of the gold chocolate, plus they add a tantalising texture to each bite. We think it's a glorious flavour combo, but if you'd rather the gold without, you can get drops, robots and other formats to enjoy it in its pure form!

“Incomparably wonderful. Super range - it's going to take a while to fully appreciate them all. (But someone has to do it.) The flavours are interesting, unique and subtle. Whether flipping through the pages of "A La Recherche Du Temps Perdu", or engrossed in "Eastenders" there is something for everyone. Of course, there could be romantic moments with the best beloved as the sun sinks gloriously into the purple horizon, perhaps sipping a perfectly chilled glass of champagne...”

Thank you, we're so glad the chocolates were great. We're really sorry about the wrap though. This shouldn't have happened and we've been in contact separately about this. The additional gift wraps are sleeves that go around our lidded boxes, so it was a simple case of removing it and hey presto, a standard box of Chococo chocolates! As we've also explained privately, delivery arrived exactly as promised, so we're a bit befuddled as to why you've said it didn't.

“I have tried several chocolate items from Chococo and it is very high quality chocolate. I do not enjoy dark chocolate, so I only ever order milk or their gold chocolate, which is really good. However, they have recently changed their signature milk chocolate from 45% Venezuela, to 47% Colombia Milk Chocolate. In my opinion the 47% Colombia is not as good as the 45% Venezuela, which was velvety, luxurious & sooo creamy. The 47% Colombia is a little bitter for milk, isn't creamy enough and lacks any silkyness.”

Thank you for loving our chocolate and we hope that you'll grow to love our 47% Colombia Milk Chocolate just as much as our previous signature milk. As of 2023, we have stopped working with chocolate made with Venezuela cocoa beans. It's the end of an era for us as we have always been huge fans of Venezuelan chocolate and it was the first (and only) origin we worked with when we started Chococo back in 2002. However, we haven't been able to work directly with a local producer in Venezuela given all the political problems there, and so have built a direct partnership with Luker Chocolate in Colombia who now produce our, frankly, more delicious 47% milk chocolate for us, and we have 100% confidence in both its long term sourcing and its sustainability for you to enjoy.
