“Overall pretty happy with these. the side shades both on the rear doors and quarter windows are great; no complaints at all. Coming to the rear screen shades I’ve found a few issues. The frames of the shades are quite stiff and appear to be slightly too big for the window aperture. This results in the shades trying to return to shape (flat) in a compound curve situation. This pulls the clips out of the plastic moulding and the stress / force put on the adhesive clips easily overpowers them and they fly off every time I open the rear hatch. The two halves of the shades have to cross over each other in the centre of the window or they don’t fit at all. The force put on the two top metal clips have pulled the plastic moulding out of its mounts also. I now can’t open the rear hatch independently of the boot as the shades fall out, making the handy feature of the split window opening unusable. I seems I need another 4/6 adhesive retainers to run along the underside of the window to have a chance of them being secured in place.”

Hi James - we are sorry you are having a few issues with your tailgate Car Shades, we will get some more adhesive clips out to you asap. In terms of helping to get them to fit better, please can you check that the bottom corners of the Car Shades are pressed firmly into the trim which may require a bit of pressure to push them into place which usually then aligns the Car Shades so that meet flush in the middle. “For my Ateca very well, little one is very comfortable and content now in the back. No longer having to battle to keep kids cool and happy without the sun in their face is great. Only negative I can give is was a bit fiddly to fit the clips that need to go into the window frames and the instruction video wasn’t vehicle specific which I understand isn’t possible for every car there is, but the fitting was different for ours so we had to struggle through ourself. The pictures provided with the instructions the same, different for how the clips fitted into the seals in our car, and even if they weren’t, the pictures were difficult to make out and not very clear. But the shades themselves once in are great.”

“I chased my order as after a week I had no dispatch email and was told that there had been an error and it was not dispatched. I was told it would be dispatched immediately, one week later I still had not received my order so contacted them again and was told it still had not been dispatched but was given no explanation as to why. At this stage I just wanted a refund which I must say was processed quickly. There was no apology for the mismanagement of my order. The place seems very disorganised and provides very poor customer service”

“I have these shades in 2 cars, they give the appearance of tinted windows and help to keep the sun off the little ones in the back. It's great that they can stay in place even with the windows open. After care is great, I lost a couple of clips in between seasons and was quickly rushed some spares. Excellent product would highly recommend.”

“Amazing service ordered early Wednesday morning was dispatched same day arrived next day they fit my car perfectly was missing couple clips contacted them and heard back straight away and they sent replacements straight away. 100% worth every penny”

“Fantastic product and great customer service. Opted for CarShades over window tints, as 1. They are far cheaper and 2. You can have the windows down and still have the protection of the CarShade. Installation was simple and customer service promptly assisted me in ironing out a slight issue. I highly recommend this company.”

“The shade fits rather perfectly for my window. However the lower clip could not fixate the shade at all; the shade holds in place because of the frame. It would be much nicer if the each shade is provided with two sets of clips instead of one and the lower clip should be wider and longer.”

“Very reasonably priced, these Car Shades fit and work in my Golf estate a treat they even stay in place with the rear windows open and would definitely recommend. Had an issue with the clips (one snapped) but they were replaced no questions asked. The customer service from Ben was just great, impressed all round.”

“Great car shades, but shocking fit for the opening windows, and the metal clips supplied end up damaging the internal window trims when you try and fit them. They also don’t fit size wise very well! Not impressed! As for the shades for the fixed windows, they are an excellent fit and well thought out.”

Hi Carlos - we have looked into this further and we can see from the tracking info that the goods never got beyond the international gateway hub in France. This indicates that the request for taxes payment, which is sent by the local customs department not ourselves has not been settled and is therefore being returned to us.
