“I didnt want to get shades for both mar rear side windows and side windows but the option to get the side windows was only available for estate car, so I figured I'll go with it why not... Turn out it was a massive waste of money because the way the back windows are on my car makes it almost impossible to see through the mesh, so I took it out.”

If you do you can start the process by emailing us at sales@carshades.co.uk Given that the Car Shades are made from a light-reducing fabric this will impact visibility through the rear window, but one of the benefits of them is that they can easily be removed as and when required. “Had them for 4 day's now still haven't managed to put them up as the clips don't fit the shades looking at video and instructions very poor wish someone could give me some advice”

“By far the best shades for your car, they've been great for us with a newborn and a dog. Can't fault the customer service after needing some replacement clips after a couple of breakages and these were sent out free of charge. Highly recommended.”

“Absolutely amazing, babies and two dogs travelling in the back of our 7 Seater Skoda Kodiaq on a long road trip. These Car Shades plus air con kept everyone cool. And out of the rays of the scorching sun. It’s been boiling hot in the UK recently and these were so needed. They also kept our belongings out of view when we did stop. 10/10. Buy some now all the parents out there!”

“Fantastic shades and delivered quickly and well packed very well thought out, and easy to fit took me 5 mins from unpacking to fully fitted, stops the sun blinding our baby in the back with out impairing vision out the windows for driving definitely recommend these”

“Easy to fit, fast delivery and easy transaction, look great too. The only thing that’d be better is if they sent 2 more sticky pad fixings for both rear door window shades. So far so good. Recommend”

“Shades fit well but note for other purchasers, to avoid scratching paint where top metal clips slot in I would stick a piece of electrical tape on the the door first, the metal is sharp and will scratch the inside of the door ☹️”

“I really rate these as an affordable alternative to getting your windows tinted. I have 2 dogs and with window tints they would not only have got damaged, they also these allow the rear windows to be lowered to give the dogs a nice breeze, yet still stay out of the sun....perfect for after a long walk in the New Forest!”

“Product is great Instructions are terrible, poor quality pictures and can’t see any details had no idea which way round clip went, still not sure installed correctly. Online video is great if that’s the clips you have but mine was different.”

“Overall pretty happy with these. the side shades both on the rear doors and quarter windows are great; no complaints at all. Coming to the rear screen shades I’ve found a few issues. The frames of the shades are quite stiff and appear to be slightly too big for the window aperture. This results in the shades trying to return to shape (flat) in a compound curve situation. This pulls the clips out of the plastic moulding and the stress / force put on the adhesive clips easily overpowers them and they fly off every time I open the rear hatch. The two halves of the shades have to cross over each other in the centre of the window or they don’t fit at all. The force put on the two top metal clips have pulled the plastic moulding out of its mounts also. I now can’t open the rear hatch independently of the boot as the shades fall out, making the handy feature of the split window opening unusable. I seems I need another 4/6 adhesive retainers to run along the underside of the window to have a chance of them being secured in place.”

Hi James - we are sorry you are having a few issues with your tailgate Car Shades, we will get some more adhesive clips out to you asap. In terms of helping to get them to fit better, please can you check that the bottom corners of the Car Shades are pressed firmly into the trim which may require a bit of pressure to push them into place which usually then aligns the Car Shades so that meet flush in the middle. If this doesn't help, if you can send any images of the fitting you have to reviews@carshades.co.uk and we'll take a look to see if we can offer any more advice. Thank you Car Shades

“For my Ateca very well, little one is very comfortable and content now in the back. No longer having to battle to keep kids cool and happy without the sun in their face is great. Only negative I can give is was a bit fiddly to fit the clips that need to go into the window frames and the instruction video wasn’t vehicle specific which I understand isn’t possible for every car there is, but the fitting was different for ours so we had to struggle through ourself. The pictures provided with the instructions the same, different for how the clips fitted into the seals in our car, and even if they weren’t, the pictures were difficult to make out and not very clear. But the shades themselves once in are great.”
