“I enquired via email about replacement clips for the rear shades for my Ford C-Max. I received an immediate and helpful response from carshades uk. Once I had place my order, delivery was very quick.”

“If I’m honest they are the most fiddly things ever to put together. It’s REALLY hard to put the clips in place. I got so fed up of trying I’ve put them to one side and will try again. I’m hoping they are worth all the effort. A friend had recommended you but I won’t be recommending you to any of my friends. If I can’t put the clips on I will getting in touch to return them. Most fiddly things ever. Very disappointed.”

“Exactly what my family need and what I was looking for. In perfect world you want the cars to come with these retractable shades but not everyone can have that as a luxury. These car shades make up for that. I didn’t want those ugly sock ones that slipped onto the car, nor did I want the suction ones as I don’t see the point, hardly covering the window. These car shades are specifically designed for your car and it allows my son to sleep on long journeys. Perfect for my family. Thank you Carshades!”

“I purchased a complete set of shades from my vehicle a little over two years ago, the product fitted well and appeared to be of good quality. I was recently travelling on the M1 on a very hot day, my three year old grandson lowered the window, the shade was sucked out and disappeared onto the carriage way, for safety reasons I was unable to stop my vehicle and therefore unable to retrieve the shade. I contacted Car Shades to enquire how I went about purchasing a replacement shade, only to be told that they do not sell individual shades. I was provided with a link to purchase another full set. I was disappointed with that response, and explained that I only wanted to purchase the lost shade. They did not respond to my email expressing my disappointment. Their sales narrative states that the shades do not fall out, and there is no mention that the shades are only sold as a complete set or that spare or replacement shades are not available. So buyers beware, these shades can be dislodged and if you are unfortunate enough to have your vehicle window lowered at the time, you run the risk of loosing the shade which cannot be individually replaced. In my opinion this approach to customer service is poor at the very least demonstrates a very inflexible approach to after sales support.”

Hi - it seems clear that the shades have been working as described for 2 years, we are sorry that one has been disloged and fallen but when the shades are fitted correctly and the clips are in place this can't happen , our design team work hard to ensure this . We dont list individual shades on our website or make any reference to them for the very reason that they are not available seperately. You have asked us to supply something that we simply dont list or sell , again we are sorry you didn't like our answer but it is the correct one. For many vehicles the door shades are available as a a pair so you may not need the full rear set, they are listed as a rear door set. Regards Carshades

“Volvo XC70 - full set. Excellent product well priced , well made and really easy to fit, full set fitted in 20-25 mins. Reckon I could do it in 10 to 15 next time. Made a massive difference to the car in this hot weather, and you can open the windows with the blinds fitted. 10/10”

“These are a fantastic product and great premium alternative to the cheap, ill-fitting rubbish everyone gets off Amazon. In fact if you were to buy car shades for every window from Amazon it'd likely cost you the same as getting these. I thought about getting these instead of having all the windows tinted, as it's a cheaper and less permanent solution. Super happy with the quality, fairly priced and easy to fit. Not often am I so impressed by a product at the price and quality these days. Superb! (Fitted to Skoda Octavia estate)”

“I emailed CarShades to see if the Suzuki Vitara 2015-22 shades listed on their website would fit my 2023 model (which is still the 4th-Gen 'LY'). They asked for a couple of photos & then confirmed that yes, the shades would fit my car. Unfortunately the shades didn't fit..... the rear quarter window ones fitted well; the rear passenger windows had a gap at the top (or bottom if I slid the shade upwards); the rear window shade didn't fit all all - the shade was the wrong shape & the supplied clips were also pretty useless. I returned the shades that afternoon for a refund.... which I received the following week however why does the 'Returns' section of your website say that customers will receive their refund within 30-days when the legal requirement is 14? Furthermore, delivery tracking with CarShades' courier was worse than useless. The tracking 'updated' by picking random statements from 'Your package will be delivered today'; 'Your package has not yet been collected from the sender'; 'Your package is delayed but will be delivered later today'; 'Your package will be delivered tomorrow'. Sometimes I received two contradictory updates within the same message. On the actual day of delivery I received an email telling me that my package 'Is due to be delivered on the [previous day's date]' but simultaneously that it hadn't yet been collected from CarShades, so I hung around the house all day for nothing & when it did finally arrive the following day I needn't have bothered being in as the delivery didn't require a signature anyway! Ordered shades from AliExpress instead for £45 that are pretty much identical to the ones from CarShades except for the labels. Perfect fit. Pop in using magnets so no fiddly metal clips. The fabric is thicker & provides better shade, & they arrived in 5 days.”

We are sorry the shades didn't live up to your expectation. I cant find any messages with pics of your issues around the installation and if you had sent them we may have been able to advise you. “Delivery was faster than I expected but DHL suggested a delivery day for 2 days despite the date having passed and then last minute warning on the morning off on the second day. Visors fit my car really well. Clips can be a little difficult to get on the blinds but know they have to be tight to be secure!”

“Ok but was disappointed that the rear screen comes in 2 parts, and one of the side window screens material is slack so looks bad, clips are not a great fit and i can see them going missing if you remove the screens from time to time, I did an earlier review that has never been posted,?? Says it all”
