“When i ordered the shades i was in a bit of a hurry , but i thought i ordered complete sides which i assumed wrongly would include the rear quater windows on my E91 Estate , But all i got was the rear passenger window shades , unfortunatley the shades are not a very good fit ' the trim around the rear windows is quite thick so its not a nice snug fit but it will do for now , The shades came with one upper stick on clip with 3m tape and two lower clips , only one lower clip can be secured the other lower clip just rests on the trim , the upper clip was never going tobe sticky enough to hold up the shade so i used a number plate adhesive pad with the clip which at the moment is holding on . I would value the shades at £25 and not £55 , to expensive for what you actually get ,”

“Great idea. A little fiddly to install but they work great. I forgot to mention my car has a rear dash cam fitted so the rear door shades don`t quite fit flush to the screen but they still work great.”

“The metal clips scraped the tint in our BMW X3. They work better without the clips at all. Perhaps you can't put the windows down without the metal clips in place, but we'll live with that and use the aircon rather than damage our car further. The rear window shield is in two parts, so that's annoying too. We tried using it but the join between the two shields was too annoyng. The clip that holds them together, also scratched the tint in that window too. We tried it without the clips like the other windows, but due to it beiong a completely different design around the window itself, it sagged - so we just removed it altogether. Nice enough product in that thankfully the side shades work well without the clips, but the clips damaging our window tints was disappointing.”

“I purchased a full set of Car Shades last week for my Landrover Freelander 2, these shades are top quality and took less than 30 minutes to fit. Bonus is that you can have the rear windows open without removing the shades, also easy to remove if required. These have made a huge difference to interior comfort on hot sunny days and look like a factoy fit item. Would recommend to anyone as a practical and cost effective solution to help keep their car cool in summer. Regards Ron”

“Excellshades. I needed something to help keep the sun off my dog in the back of the car. Having tried multiple versions for the rear view window which kept falling off and I couldn’t see through I found car shades. They are great. A bit of a fiddle to fit but once you have worked out which clip is which it’s straightforward if you read the instructions carefully. They are just illustrations. Wording would have been useful too.. I also needed some pliers to clip them to the shades as quite tight. They do a great job. Highly recommend”

“I honestly couldn't recommend carshades enough. The delivery was fast, and most importantly, the shades fit my car's windows perfectly. Installing them was a breeze, even for someone like me who's normally useless at this kind of things! They look great and keep the car cooler, which is the main reason of my purchase. My dog is much happier now and so am I.”

“I received the car shades as a Father's day present. I had a set on my previous car so I new the quality of the product. They fit my 2012 Skoda Fabia mk2 estate beautifully. I received a full rear set. They are very simple and easy to fit. With the hot weather we are currently experiencing, I can already feel the difference in the temperature inside the car. It is a lot cooler. They also protect the interior from harmful UV. Would I recommend them, absolutely without reservation.”

“Game changer! Brought these shades for a CUPRA born. Perfect fit. I did struggle working out how to fit them. The instructions were not overly clear. But once on, perfect. Not sure I could use any other shade now. If I change my car I will order them for the new car. Supposed with clips but feel I could have done with 4 clips per window.”

“Problem with the shades I’ve experienced are 1. the back ones should have an option to tick if you have a rear camera fitted, like a lot of cars these days and they could do a circular cut out to allow the camera through, but they don’t so I’ve had to bend the top corner of them to allow the camera to view the road 2. The small rear ones that just “push” into to the window are absolutely useless, every bump, door slam or boot slam they fall out. Have contacted customer service and they spoke to me like I was a 12 year old 3. For what they are, they’re massively overpriced, wasn’t going to leave a review but the fact they now ignore my email, they had a chance to rectify the rubbish smaller ones but nothing, so they deserve 2 stars. Would you recommend them, nope. Having customers is a privilege so work on your customer service skills.”

Thanks for your review. As those rear window cameras are a non-standard option on most vehicles, they can be placed in various locations when being fitted so it would be impossible to design rear shades that accommodate them and it would also leave a hole for vehicles with no camera - this is the main reason we dont make shades to accommodate them. “The physical shades are well made and fit the form of the windows lovely but for my car I need to use sticky pad clips fittings. The cleaning wipe for wiping the rubber dried out very rapidly, for the amount of shades being used it should have 2 packets of wipes, minimum, sent out not just one. The sticky pad clips have fell off more times then then have been on. Followed all the instructions correctly but still not very good. Going to have to look at purchasing some separate adhesive to hopefully make them stick.”
