“We can’t fit the window shades to our car! I ordered two 2016+ rear window shades for my seat ateca 2017, they are good quality and sturdy and look good, but they don’t fit! And there wasn’t actually an instruction manual to teach us how to install them properly. It came with clips, but no instructions on which clips to use. We searched on YouTube how to fit them, and neither of the clips actually work because the shades are about 1cm too big for the seat ateca windows! Considering they are supposed to be made specifically for that model car, they don’t fit at all, we would have to bend them slightly to squeeze them in!”

Hi Julia We are sorry to learn you are having issues fitting your Car Shades. Please could you try the following steps: 1. Fit clip CL-M12 to the frame of the Car Shade first on the right-hand edge of the Car Shade 2. Fit clip CL-M11 to the frame of the door on the left-hand side, this video should give you a guide on how to fit them https://youtu.be/z8e2-mm8sUg 3. Push the right-hand side of your Car Shade that has clip M12 into the corner of the window frame first behind the plastic trim where your Car Shade is currently over lapping on the picture you have shared with us 4. Flex the Car Shade on the left-hand side behind clip M11 which is essentially a retaining clip Please let us know how you get on and if that doesn't work please could you send some more images to sales@carshades.co.uk and we'll see how we can help further. “Well packaged and a good fit. Instructions are included and they have videos etc. what they could do though is give close ups of the clips as this is what causes the most confusion. Otherwise a great product and I highly recommend as a flexible option to window tinting”

“The blinds fit perfectly but the retaining clips are either the wrong type or not quite the right shape. Instructions were a little poor too. Minor improvements could make this product perfect.”

“Absolutely amazing - fit perfectly! Really sleek looking. So much better than all the others out there! No gaps or poor fitting. We’re able to have the windows open in the back to allow air into the cabin without the rays from the sun. Brilliant if you have children! My only regret is not buying the full set for the smaller windows and boot.”

“Speedy delivery of good quality shades - happy customer. One small gripe: the fitting instructions were hard to follow. Teeny-tiny drawings illustrating actions that were clearly important but almost impossible to understand because they were so small. Two practical DIYers had to puzzle for 30 minutes to work out how to insert the clips!”

“I made a mistake on my order and as per the instructions on the confirmation email tried phoning; after three failed attempts of being cut off after 15 minutes, I requested a call back and sent an email. The following day I repeated the same process, again not being able to speak to anybody. The order was sent before I could get it changed, the email never read and I never received a call back! Another hour spent phoning (being cut off after 15min) I finally spoke to somebody and was told it was my fault and I would incur the return costs. IF YOU FEEL YOU NEED TO SPEAK TO SOMEBODY OR NEED ASSISTANCE AVOID THIS COMPANY!”

“The shades are not perfect fit despite the fact these are made to particular make and model. I have followed the enclosed fitment instruction the material doesn't fit nicely as it waves. Extremally disappointed with the look. The shades are not worth the price. Furthermore the customer service is non existence. I contacted the customer service for help and advice via email and never received any response. Then I requested to return the shades for a refund and guess what no response either. Very poor product and customer service. Do not bother yourself with this option. Stay shade in another way ;)”

“This review is vehicle specific because the shades don't work as advertised on a Volvo XC90. They do not attach magnetically to the doors rather you have to squeeze them in front of the glass instead. That means that if you do want to lower the glass they fall off. Also, the 2 that are meant to be for the rear screen at the back of the car simply won't stay on the car. They are designed to squeeze each other in place but I've not done a journey without them falling off half way through. The shades themselves are really nice though, qood quality and server their purpose, as long as they work for your car. For an XC90, I would not recommend.”

“Hi, Sorry only getting round to sending this in now, as I purchased the Car Shades - BMW X5 2014-17 - Full Rear Set back in February, but only got round to fitting them last month. The blinds themselves are very good quality and fit the windows perfectly. My only difficulty with the blinds, is the clips supplied, as they do not keep the rear door blinds in place. If a person gets in or out of the car and shuts the door, the blind drops out, so you have to keep fitting them back in. I did purchase a spare set of clips, but they did not work. Good blind, but pity about the clips.”

Hi Jimmy - we are sorry that the clips are struggling to stay in place on your model. We are going to send you some complimentary clips that are called M03, they are the same profile as the M13 clips you have in your set but have a slightly longer back plate to hopefully grab into the door seal a little better.
