The service you get from C&A Building Plastics depends entirely on whom you deal with so it is not possible to separate the rating from an individual. Dealing with T is a miserable experience, customers are just a nuisance and you'll receive the product at his convenience - allow a minimum of 10 days, despite the claims of the company. As an example, I said I was not able to receive the roofing items between the 10th and 25th of the month. T transposed this to the 25th to the 10th (of the following month!), thereby losing me the last two weeks of the year of excellent roofing weather. He was not in the slightest concerned. Dealing with C is a pleasure. He is customer focussed and ready to do all he can to help. M is straightforward and seems efficient. The delivery driver was excellent, doing all he could (and working long hours) to make up for the inefficiencies at the depot. The range of products supplied by the company is wide and the prices seem good. Just choose your contact and be assertive about your required delivery date.

Hi Thank You for your feedback and sorry that you are not happy with the delivery process. Hopefully my explanation will give you a better understanding of why your delivery was not made on the 25th. You placed the order online and noticed you did not put anything in the delivery notes about delivery dates although there are notes regarding access. I can see that notes have been added on the 07/10/16 requesting delivery after the 25th October and this is probably why there was a delay. Your order was sent on one of our lorries, these leave on a Monday and return on a Friday. You are in the GU postcode area and the week the vehicle went through that area was the 24th and your delivery would have been one of the first drops. The notes say after the 25th so we would not have been able to make the delivery. What did happen was your order got rescheduled for the following weeks run and it was delivered at the end of that week. We have up to 40 deliveries to do on each lorry and every run is optimised to try and ensure that all the orders get delivered and the drivers have enough time to return to base. Please note the drivers can only drive 9 hours per day this is the law and we never encourage our drivers to break this. As for the drivers working long hours this sometimes happens due to failed deliveries, breakdowns or just traffic problems however every run is planned to ensure the driver gets back on a Friday and once they have returned to the depot and completed their paperwork they are free to go home. This early finish offsets the extra hour or two that they do during the week. If a driver is delayed for any reason beyond their control they do certainly do not lose out. We can arrange special deliveries if customers need their materials by a certain date at additional costs however the cost of standard delivery does not allow for these special delivery options. I hope this helps explain why your order was not delivered on the 25th or just after and I will be having a discussion with all the sales staff and hope to avoid these type of problems in the future If you wish to discuss this further then please call either myself or Craig Darren

C&A did not make me happy, the plastic sheets were easy to order efficient delivery but!!! the sheets were not the colour shown on the web page, on the web the sheets look a beautiful amber bronze but on delivery they look a smoky colour. All the documents say bronze but they look more like a smoky greyish colour.

Hi We are sorry you feel disappointed, trying to represent colours online is very difficult considering the different screen resolutions, pixel creation, and the fact that colours will vary slightly due to batch productions. Many customers ask fr samples prior to order to ensure it is the material they want. We have noted on your order your comments, and if you wish to return this you are still in your time frames to do so and then sheets can be purchased elsewhere once you have sourced the shade you are looking for. I have ordered materials from C&A before and have been pleased with them. But my 3rd order came with damaged edges to the cladding boards. The packaging was not as secure or robust as my other orders, hence only 3 stars.

Ordered geo panels for walls and ceiling in bathroom easy ordering quick delivery but delivery not loaded correctly on lorry but we didnt check everything within the time scale of 72hrs then customer service was useless 10 out of 10 for product 0 out of 10 for help from customer services.

Hi, Thanks for the review I see that all you have written is 'product quality' but we are not sure what is meant by this two word statement. I see you have ordered the black square-line guttering and pipe, feedback is always appreciated and the manufacturers also appreciate it when we pass it up the line so they can continually improve their product offering. They didn't, because our order was wrong. They sent 6 of one item and 5 of another where it should have been 5 off and 5 off. Unfortunately my partner was very sick at the time of delivery and with all due respect he didn't check it properly. Only when he was ready to start and use the items he found the delivery was wrong, he had to order another piece to rectify but you charged him £25.00 for delivery on a piece that cost £5.00 something. I am discussed that this happened but he had no alternative as he had to have the piece and you would not waver anything. We would appreciate your comments

Hi Thank you for the feedback, I think you may have been a little confused when writing this as the way it is written says we delivered 1 extra item (6 instead of 5) but the notes on the system claims that 1 item is short. The original order where the shortage is claimed to have happened has been on site for 4 months before you contacted us and we have no idea what has happened to the products on site during this time. It is an unfortunate state of affairs that some unscrupulous people out there will, damage / lose products on site and then try to claim they were never delivered in the first place (and some builders would often do this just to get free materials for other jobs). Because of this it is common in companies to have a period for you to check your order you receive (many only accept it to be at the instant the delivery is made). It is unfortunate that a few bad eggs force companies to have these policies, but they are their to protect everyone and stop the cost of products from being inflated to cover false claims (we don't believe honest people should pay for those who are dishonest). Because it is impossible for us to prove what does and does not happen when it is in the customers care we do have to set a time limit for notification and this applies to everyone. It does mean on a rare occasion a genuine claim is denied but there is no way to definitively prove one is genuine while the other is fictional ( and those who lie about it being missing would make up any story they think would get free material issued). I bought an sv 100 extractor fan for the conservatory to replace the one I bought 13 months ago which has failed on the hottest day of the year. :-(. Not wildly impressed at that but it did make a difference, so have replaced it. I will look to a more robust solution later.

They are great value at only £49.95+VAT, its is not normal for one to fail after 13 months as you will know with the other 2 you purchased, we will be talking to the manufacturers with regards to this problem you have had on this unit. I purchased polycarbonate sheets and glazing bars. The quality of materials and ease of installation was excellent. I am disappointed in the time it takes from order to goods on site. Although this was within the ten working days quoted,it is very poor compared with other places I order materials from eg Screwfix and Toolstation next day, Jewsons and Travis Perkins within two days. Items orders on ebay from China normally arrive within two weeks

Hi, Thank you for the feedback, we are glad that you liked the product and the ease of installation, we understand that people want very fast delivery these days, and this is possible on products that are easy to send on carrier such as those sold by screwfix or tool station. These products you have purchased are not best suited to this sort of dispatch as they get damaged, this is why we run our own fleet of transport. Yes you can buy these products from both Jewson or Travis perkins (as they both buy from us), but they do not stock them and would either advise the same delivery time scale as we deliver direct or organise their own collection and transport to improve the time scale but also pass on the increased costs to you. It is the balance that has to be struck between, speed of delivery, cost of delivery, and the likelihood of damage in transit (which increases cost, time and disappointment). If it is the speed of delivery that is of prim importance to you then please speak to a member of the sales team before placing the order, we do get requests and people who are willing to pay the true economic cost have hired our vehicles and drivers to do so. The price of this sv300 solar fan is ridiculous.. having now received it and being able to see it in the flesh it really is not worth £88 in delivery .. it also rattles and is very intrusive, not at all silent ! Will be returned asap ....

Delivery was really good quick and very friendly fella who helped me unload materials but lady who I spoke to when ordered wouldn't listen to what I wanted and kept adding items I never needed and I found her very unprofessional and argumentive she also told me she would call me when a missing item was in but I never had no calls but also had a fella call me tell me what time order was coming who I also found very friendly so not great on sales but delivery as great exept that gutter was scratched in several places

Delivery of polycarbonate sheets glazing bars and accessories was due between 3 and 4 finally arriving nearer 6pm and had to be chased. All orderered parts were delivered correctly but order taker omitted to mention when asked if she thought anythng else might be needed did not mention that I should also have sheet end closures at the top as well as the bottom of the sheets. Also when later called to ask how to fit the Glen end bar infills the response was anything but helpful the lady being unable to describe how the profile should look for fitting.and I gave up on the call -videos only showed Avon system. Finally I managed to work it out by trial and error. Products do seem to very good.

Thanks for your response and i am sorry you are not happy with the delivery time scales.I have investigated your order and from the time of processing your order and to us delivering this was not two weeks, either 14 days or 10 working days. I would like to explain that the item you purchased is a budget roof sheet that can not be sent via a carrier and something we would have to deliver on our own vehicle to ensure it arrived in one piece. We pride ourselves on offering our customers the option of purchasing single products, unlike other companies who require a minimum order quantity as they do not value low spend customers the same we do, however to ensure a cost effective solution we route these deliveries with many other orders this is the only way we could attempt to recover the real cost of these orders. If we did not optimise all our deliveries then we would fall short of our actual cost in making deliveries of £20 products on a 200 mile round trip. I hope this gives you a better understanding of the logistics involved. We also make the expected timescales clear in both our delivery section and our terms and conditions however i have asked our IT department to review this to ensure it is clear. I purchased a range of products for my carport and the all the staff were very helpful. The delivery date was much later than I had anticipated and I was going to be away on business the day it was to be delivered. I contacted the office and left my fathers phone number, to be contacted the evening before the delivery, which was what I was told always happened. My father never received a call from the delivery driver, and the goods were delivered the night (7.30pm) before the date suggested! Fortunately my daughter's boyfriend happened to be at the house at that time and helped to unload in the dark, but there could easily have been nobody at home.

I've purchased black ogee guttering to install on the clients property. Communication was excellent every step of the way. delivery - ok 4 working days However guttering itself was a bit brittle( snapped 5 gutter brackets while clipping the gutter), one clip on the corner was missing , one length of the gutter was scratch and couple cracked on the ends . Would definitely use more often if they have local branch, so you can pop over and return damaged and excess materials, otherwise is to much of a hassle to return.

Polycarbonate sheets small order. The first promised delivery week came and went without delivery, During a phone call to find out why, I was given the excuse of vehicle breakdown, as the delivery was not urgent this was acceptable. But a phone call or email would have been appreciated to avoid waiting in all the days, you should consider this. Delivered now all OK
