“This great, asking me to review buy a parcel, based on a purchase I made 16 days ago. Where do I start? Well firstly, it hasn’t arrived yet. It’s been stuck with their courier Hermes for the last 8 days. After a week I got a message from Hermes “we’ve got your parcel” was their message, after 3 days with them the status was.....”we’ve got your parcel”. I wrote to buy a parcel asking what the problem was - couriers are flat out at present, I was told. Tried contacting Hermes myself and the only information I could get was “we’ve got your parcel”. Again I wrote to buy a parcel pointing out to them that deliveries were thick and fast for everything else ordered from other companies, they said they’d contact Hermes to find out what was happening but this would take up to 48hours for a reply. So I waited 48hours, obviously no reply so I wrote a polite email expressing my frustration and reminding them that their web site was advertising “business as usual”, even next day delivery if you really needed it. I pointed out that it didn’t mention 2 week delays due to COVID19. I waited all day but guess what, no response. I then copied every bit of correspondence and put it into a fresh “contact us” enquiry. This time I got an automated response saying my enquiry would be looked into. The following morning (today) Hermes have advised that my parcel is “on it’s way”. Let’s hope that means delivery before Christmas, because it isn’t here yet.”
