“Really great process for specifying and ordering. Items - four windows and a door arrived in approximately four weeks. Windows all fine but door (sub-contracted to Solidor) had issues. Firstly one of the corner protectors had been wrenched-off and the threshold trip was distorted and the edges damaged. The door was also was provided with incorrect frame extenders which were incompatible with the door frame mouldings. Replacements were sent to Modern uPVC rather than my address, then when they finally arrived they were all white rather than the white/anthracite colour of the door. The side panel was not of the same quality as the windows: inconsistently cut bead lengths which required rework in order to properly fit. The door also had a lip protruding from its front face for the full height of the hinge side. This lip inverted the door seal on opening thus affecting the operation of the door and I had to modify the door to remove the lip with a plane. Finally two of the drip rail fixings were 16mm higher than the other two so the drip rail looked all wrong, again requiring rework. In short, the windows were of an appropriate quality, but the purchasing experience was seriously let down by the door and so three stars are the most I can give, and that could be viewed as generous.”
